AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Been there (minus the deer). Glad youre still alive. We all know if you ride, its goig to happen sometime
Heres to a speedy recovery
Been there WITH the deer ; broadside , they found her when they mowed the hay field ( W.VA)
The latest was with a 82 year old womans car ; me & my girl both took flying lessons , I walked away , she still has problems from it ( Fla. , blue hairs )
frame is all straight..engine runs.. i cleaned the oil out from around the pistons..actually if i bol the seat back on its ready to ride..i think im gonna fixt it completly and trade it in for the cbr 954RR..and iwas only going like 45.. thats pretty fast when you try to stop.
sorry to say, but 9 out of 10 times when i read these stories a b.s. detector kind of goes off in my head.
Dont blame the stump or the deer. Blame poor judgement, inexperience and riding past your limits...
You have to really think about what you have done. Im not one to beat aperson when he is down..but really think about it. Based on the picture and skid marks, it looks like you approached the turn too hot and it looked like you were speeding IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA.
actually that is out of city limits..and the speed limit is 35.. but either way i know there was a lack of experience.. ive only been riding 3-4 months.
Btw, this is why you drive a car. Then when you see a deer, you can floor it so the deer will just bounce off your hood and land behind you. If you slow down of course, the deer will just go right through your windshield.
