Until somebody has concrete, physical proof that Bonds actually used sterioids (ie a failed drug test) I have to vote to send it to Cooperstown minus the asterisk.Comment

Agree 100%. Plus for all you mental giants out there that think roids will help you hit home runs Ill pay you to roid up and go give it a shot. Roids did not help him be able to hit a 99 mph fast ball or a whicked curve. Hitting a round ball with a round bat is the hardest thing to do in sports, and no amount of roid is going to change that. Now, if he did do roids, this may have helped him recover faster and maybe gave him a bit more bat speed but it in no way helps his hand eye coordination or his ability to "see" if the pitch was a slider/curve/sinker and so forth. Put the ball in the hall and shut up about it. The guy hit the homers, roids or not.Originally posted by RabidFuzzleUntil somebody has concrete, physical proof that Bonds actually used sterioids (ie a failed drug test) I have to vote to send it to Cooperstown minus the asterisk.Last edited by AirAssault; 09-19-2007, 02:50 AM.Due to the objections of a certain Canadian, this space is now for rent.Comment

I don't think there's any debate that hitting a ball is extremely tough and that not everybody could go do it. I think everybody knows that Bonds is a good hitter with or without steroids. But I think the problem with the steroids is it turns long lazy fly balls into home runs. Which quite obviously changes things.SwallowBleach: It's good for you.

I actually have that real card. Topps, Barry Bonds Rookie Card. It's not worth much, but it's cool cause I've had it since I was a little kid. My grandparents gave me a bunch of packs when I was little that they had saved for a few years and it was in there.Originally posted by Altimas

The man has never failed a drug test. Without proof of a failed test, sorry he is CLEAN. Now, LEAKED grand jury testimony aside, do I think he used roids, sure. Is a man innocent until proven guilty, yes.Originally posted by rkjunior303did it help placing the bat on the ball? no

When someone shows me the PROOF of a positive drug test that the man was on roids, then I say *, until then, nope.Due to the objections of a certain Canadian, this space is now for rent.Comment
