To believe that what we do on this ball called Earth does nothing to effect it is just STUPID. Air doesnot escape, Co2 emmisions just don't simply disapear. An eco system can only take so much. The Earth does pendulum back and forth between warmer/colder times, but they can test the air from hundreds of thousands of years back (air locked in ice, pulled out from core drilling) and tell that it is worse off today then years ago. To simply dismiss something that could have major impact on generations to come is not only dumb but in typical American fashion, arrogant. Most other industrialized countries are taking steps to limit their impact on the Earth, but not the mighty Americans, we do what we want because we can.

It's a joke, the retarded way a lot of Americans think is a joke, and one day we will reap what we sow. To bad it won't be any of the nimrods alive today, but our childrens children that have to fix our mess. Plus, even if it is all fooey and we are just crazy, what does it matter. Why is it so bad to get away from fossil fuels? We are in a war for fossil fuels, we pay out the nose for fossil fuels, we are a SLAVE to other countries because of fossil fuels. The trillions spent over the last 30/40 years could of been put to developing alternative forms of fuel, but of course the big wigs in Detroit, California, and other states/cities that produce vehicles that rely on the combustion engine didn't want to hurt their bottom line. Of course there are the oil companies that cry and whine how production cost more so they have to charge more, yet are pulling in RECORD PROFITS each and every quarter.

So, if you don't belive in global warmin, how about you become more energy efficient so we don't have to fight wars, shape our foreign policy, and bow down to countries that don't like us. (remember, the majority of the 9/11 hijackers were from our good buddy Saudi Arabia). Also, how about people that poo poo GW stop being selfish jerks and think about the future generations of this country, its not all about YOU. Of course if Americans actaully thought about others instead of just ourselves, our heads might explode.

There have been volcanoes that have put more CO2 and junk into the air than we have in out entire history...there were some figures somewhere on how the California fires put up more CO2 than like a million cars in a year or something...Ill see if I ca find a link after work.

You can read the IPCC reports right from their websites. Straight from the horses mouth, no politicians or sensationalist media involved. And they're saying the evidence is conclusive.


As for the co2 emissions being greater in the 1960's, that's simply not true. Every chart you'll look at will agree with me. Maybe other forms of pollution were more prevalent, but not greenhouse gas emissions.

People equate "global warming" with a desert scenario. Seems to me, that humidity levels would rise, creating green zones in places that last saw greenery....during the last warming period.

There are trees beneath the Sahara sands. A forested Sudan would not be a bad thing.

If anyone thinks we are putting out more pollutants into the air, simply needs to look at pictures of the Los Angeles basin from the late 60's and 70's....well, at least those parts you COULD see through all the smog. Now, the mountains can be seen from the beaches. This with the population of the LA area nearly doubled since then. More cars, more industry....less pollution.
