    anyone a fox body owner?

Looking at buying an '84 hatch, odometer says 37k on it.
normally people would say it rolled over and is 137k.
But the seats arn't ripped at all and they are still firm, interior besides the dash and headliner is in great shape.

    not much rust at all

only problem is that its a 6cylinder automatic

Best part is the price of $400

i'll get pics when i pick it up.

      Sir, couple of questions:

      A) Where do you keep finding all these 400 dollar POS's?

      B) Why do you keep buying all these 400 dollar POS's?

      C) Where do you put all these 400 dollar POS's?

      D) Do you have anything thats not a 400 dollar POS?

                      Is that the 4cyl model?

If so watch the camshaft. They were designed with a very small oil "port" "hole" whatever ya call the dang thing, and it had a tendency to cause much problem. It will be worse if the owner used the suggested Quaker State oil in it, as we now know its the king of sludge.

Hell if nothing else it should be good for $400 in scrap metal.

                          they made a foxbody with a 6? Woaw, I didn't know that....

                          I used to own a 82 with a 4.2l V-8. Some years later I owned a jeep with a 4l i6. The sum of those experience's taught me that a 8cyl should never be smaller then 300cci.

yep the early years of the fox they made them with a v6

ford's current 4.6 litre v8 is only 281 cubic inches, but thats an overhead cam V8

if your going with the 4cylinger turbo motor swap pull one out of a 87-88 tbird turbo coupe. They were intercooled. Youll need the whole car to get all the wiring, tranny, motor and such. The tbird disc rear axle is wide than a mustang But should bolt into place. I dont know what troubles it being wider will cause. Tbirds are fox platform so alot will swap over.
