Punkncat, dude, lemme tell you, you've paid your dues in Karma. And, despite your past transgressions, i think you are a GOOD model for people. Seriously. You have never played the blame game. Never hitched a ride on the WAAAAAAmbulance that blames all your mistakes on someone else, not getting that GI-Joe you wanted as a kid or that you were never hugged enough. I dont recall a single situation where you've NOT taken COMPLETE responsibility for your actions. And, imo, thats worth my respect. All of us screw up from time to time, and i think you've paid you karma dues.

Now go buy a lotto ticket.

And i wish i could help you dude, i do. But i dont know anything about that stuff. Just keep plugging along dude, good things will happen.

Thanks all for the support and kind words.

I got ahold of the clerk that is in charge of contacting DDS about citations. She went and pulled my file and looked it over. She also found a few odd things, and went and listened to the "minutes" from the case. Apparently the prosecutor and attorney had worked out the first offender plea which was then denied by the judge and simply not updated in the file.
With first offender the license is not suspended simply because the court does not inform DDS about the ticket. Keeps things nice and simple.
Here is where ethics and honesty come into play. Now if I had not made issue about this, my license probably would never have been suspended for the charge. However having signed the acknowledgement form and with the probation and such, I really didn't even want to play with the possibilities.

At this point I am waiting to hear back from the clerk. She was supposed to get with the DDS, straighten out the timeframe for both the notice of the citation and length of suspension.

I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Cool! 3 weeks sounds much better than 6 more months.

I still need to get my permit.

is there a rule somewhere against posting about offenses, or are you just proud to act like a condescending douche? If you hadent noticed, people have already stated very similar posts to yours and got a response from the thread starter himself:

The plain and simple of it is that I am displeased that even though I have served my sentence that I am unable so far to get my license back, and rightfully so....as was pointed out in my first post, and by another poster (thanks). I never said that what I did was justified, or made any excuses for it. I was arrested and have been punsihed for my crime(s) and more, but that is beside the point. What is the point is that I have done what I was supposed to, and hope that the court system and driver's services will do so as well.

It really irritates me that certain individuals have to come in and be all self righteous and sanctimonious like they have never, nor will ever make a mistake in their lives. There are a heck of a lot worse things going on in this world than what I did, and have more than payed my dues. May toleration and compassion be yours.

edit: so theres no confusions, this was in response to Target Practice's quote which can be referenced below

I had a great reply for you, but then I realized it never really addressed anything you were talking about. He is not talking about breaking the law, but how the judicial system messed up and he got screwed over.

Hes accepted the fact that he broke the law, and he served what he thought was his sentence. Now he's just sharing his experience with us.

Or maybe if you would like another explanation, which would be a shortened version of what I originally typed, then what exactly is a law?

3 weeks is probably just standard processing time to make the paper work match up again.

Seems like there is at least one good clerk in any working bureaucratic office. Finding them is the hard part.

The best part is that dealing with the old lawyer is unnecessary.
