Until AT&T actually has a useable network in the NY Metro Area, the iPhone will always be fail here.

Actually AT&T isn't too bad by my house, but I work right on the Hudson River. I have AT&T as my work phone, and it doesn't work for **** in this area, on either side of the river. It has nothing to do with where I live, it has to do with where I have to use my phone.

          Thanks for playing.

How very true. AT&T sucks. I've been praying for a Verizon iPhone since I saw it launch.

I still don't understand why they tethered themselves to honestly one of the WORST national providers. Verizon is the best, it's hard to argue that. I'm biased with Sprint/Nextel, I've been their customer for like 6 years, but I've been their customer because I have had good experiences with them, which says something. I've been an AT&T customer (through work, not by choice) for 3 years now and I avoid using my blackberry for calls at all costs now. If I have to do an off-site conference call, I dial in on my Sprint phone.

I'm sure they got better terms since AT&T was somewhat desperate, but you'd think by now they would have expanded into Verizon at the very least.

If Verizon had the iPhone, I likely would have made the switch last year.

Verizon is not CDMA, so why bother?. Why make two models when one will work for the whole planet? I can see if they can get a radio that will support GSM and CDMA. Then they have to support CSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSPA, HSPA+, CDMA, EV-DO and LTE all in a single chip.

I like my Verizon MiFi and all, but I think the world would be a better place if all CDMA networks would just go away all together. Well that and forbid phone locking. AT&T's networks issues are not related to the GSM protocols or frequencies.

I'm hopeful for the new antenna design on the iP4. It's pretty good in most cities I spend time in. Minneapolis (home) has been decent, but it's slowly getting worse.

Whatever, I don't care, I have flash & plenty of screens. This phone rocks.
the extra screens is an HTC thing. it's a UI called HTC Sense. The droid was made by motorola so it doesn't have that.

your phone has an "HTC Flash Player" but it's not a full version. 2.2 (froyo) will have Flash 10.1 which will be a full version. my friend rooted his droid and put a hacked version of 2.2 on it and he can watch Hulu on his phone. pretty sweet.

BTW congrats, you have the best phone on the market

Since you're all about speck and no hype whatsoever....what is the processing power of the a4 in mflops or just clock speed will do. And for that matter what's the price difference of the two with ummm say 100 apps?

They havn't announced a clock speed for the A4, which is somewhat suspicious.

I was just ragging on ya. I've got a couple buddies from the South Orange area who all went out and bought Iphones (that "5 for 5 deal" or whatever), only to find they couldn't get much of anything for reception to the point of being incapable of sending texts. They've been fighting the 4 year contract on the grounds that they haven't been provided adequate service; until then, "TracFone" and "MetroPCS".

                                Iphone Going To T-Mobile ?

Here we go again…yet another analyst has predicted a T-Mobile USA iPhone. The lastest comes from Kaufman Bros. analyst Shaw Wu who claims that Magenta is a more likely fit for the iPhone’s next home in the U.S. rather than Verizon Wireless, because T-Mobile’s 3G network wouldn’t require Apple to build a separate iPhone to support it. “Currently, T-Mobile’s 3G service (UMTS/HSPA) supports 1700 MHz and 2100 MHz frequencies ...
