I don't think that's a new helio. I and a fer colleges from work think it's a modified UH60. We seen a few other pics of it that haven't been in the news yet and the general assumption is it's a 60 with a few extra cowling to help with air flow and keep the noise down.

My point is I believe these laws should not be bent ever. There are reasons assassination is illegal. Wars are started that way. How do we poliece the world and thumb our nose at the international laws we enforce . It woulb be like a cop shooting an unarmed someone he saw commit a crime. Judge, Jury and Exacutioner always leads to abuse of power which is why we try our Criminals in a court of law. Not shoot them in a raid, supposedly.

So what values do we stand for now with the rest of the world?
We imprison indefinitely without charge and recourse.
We torture.
We assassinate people without trial.
We lie about the reasons we go to war.
We violate international law.
We abuse our troops.
Our government lying to us is accepted as "for our own good"

Our nation has lost all sense of HONOR and replaced it with PRIDE.

Not the country(republic) I was brought up to believe in, and not the one I thought I served.

i love how this is the new hardliners attempt to drag this down.

if there was a republican administation in office and the liberals attempted this same thing, they would be laughed out of town, and the republicans would just talk about how "soft on terror" and "democrats want to sell the USA out the enemy"

but since we have a democrat who has the balls to do what is right, and kick some butt, the hardliners all have to start yelling about what they themselves would have mocked had they been in power.

Not to start back up with you Hill, but weren't you the same one carping about Nazi America because code enforcement were requiring your parents to abide by the law regarding an illegal structure? Now you are bemoaning that the U.S. broke the law when they went in unannouced to take out an internationally wanted terrorist? Seems like a little selective morality there my friend. You can't expect the only follow the laws you agree with.

By the same token, if the government did actually break any international laws, perhaps they should be fined. $3 billions sounds about right, and wait.... hey that's about the amount that we already give Pakistan per year to be our friends. Now isn't that convienent? Problem solved.

Nice try but you have no idea what you are talking about. It is not an illegal structure. That was the complaint, and the county found nothing wrong with it. Nor do I want to type out several pages to describe the ridiculous laws that are in place to make revenue for the county and cause problems in our neighborhoods. These laws are only enforced on a complaint basis, so you can see why it would cause friction between neighbors when the average fine on a inspected older house is over 15 thousand dollars, then the repairs. I have a friend who lost there house due to a malicious complaint by a neighbor, the fines and repairs were near $100,000 on a house he had just bought. All the houses in this area are older and were not built to current codes.



My families situation was started by a vengeful neighbor who reported us to the county for non-valid reason. The reasons they reported us were determined not to be a issue by the county. But since there was a report/complaint made they now have the right to inspect every square inch of our houses and property, and then fine us for any code violation. This is invasion of privacy to the extreme, they can go through our houses and take pictures and if we deny then access they will get a warrant and force there way on the property. Now we are forced to pay for a mistake made by the original home builder to the tone of $20,000 in fines, for the plans not matching what the county has. We have pictures from when the house was being built and it was always this way. Also the county lost some of the origional paperwork but assures us that a change of use form was not what was lost. Like they have a clue. Also the area now in question is on a slab that is part of the origional slab the house was built on, with no joints

The other issue is we somehow have a restriction on our area that makes it Illegal to paint your house without a $160 design permit. You cant repair anything that requires you to remove material without $300 minimum permit. You need a $1600 permit to put up a 600 dollar car tent. You need a permit to do maintenance on your house around here. I dont think the government needs to be told when I paint my house and does not deserve to be paid to issue permission for me to do so. Nor do I think a local government should be able to fine a home owner for the mistakes of the origional builder, almost 50 years and three owners later. Also if you have enough money you can essentially pay the county to look the other way.


So before you start to argue that I only want to follow laws that work for me you may want to consider that I am against laws that are UNCONSTITUTIONAL in nature or that exist only to raise revenue for over inflated local government. Since the constitution was very clear as to what kind of laws would be allowed you may want to read it and the bill of rights. Legislating individual safety is unconstitutional. Which is the pretext for all residential building codes. Weather i agree with the laws intent or not does not matter if I claim to uphold the Constitution, because my beliefs and way of living are no better then someone else's.
