    Gun Control

    Gun control defined:

The theory that people who are willing to ignore laws against rape, torture, kidnapping, theft, and murder will obey a law which prohibits them from owning a firearm.

I think they mean without gun control the law abiding citizens would turn into those other people.

Gun control is hitting what you aim at.

            That sounds exactly right.

The funny thing about anti-gun laws is, the tighter they are the more violent crime there is.

That's because the people that get their firearms illegally will continue to get them illegally, and they know there aren't any people other than cops to shoot them. That's why i'm a big fan of the law that passed here in wisconsin recently.

Did they pass a king of the castle law to? Or did they slack up on pistol and CCW regulations?

I often hear talk about evil this weapon and evil that weapon...

Personally I suspect that anyone that believes that an inanimate object is capable of deciding to be good or evil is in fact insane. Lock them up as they will next be talking to the toaster. Trying to make deals with their toothbrush.

Hitlers automobile...is it evil? Exactly what date and what time did it make this decision to become evil? Perhaps we need shrinks for our items...to convince them that a life of "evilness" isn't a good carer path for them.

Interesting that at the height of American gun ownership the most commonly used weapons in assaults and murders were the knife and the "blunt instrument", and at the lowest point in American gun ownership... it's still the same things. Even then, the stats are skewed by the fact that it's much easier for a prosecutor to prove premeditation and intent when there's a firearm involved v.s. a common tool or kitchen implement.

I live in a state where gun ownership has been made increasingly hard in the last decade or so... Licensed and legal gun ownership has dropped by over 80% and gun violence has grown almost twofold (never mind the legal issues registered gun owners encounter on a regular basis). We're living proof that the old saying about who will have guns when they're outlawed is pretty much dead on.

Both actually, concealed carry is now legal in Wisconsin (with a permit of course) and i believe they also passed a king of the castle law. They may be screwing up a lot of stuff here in Wisconsin, but that's one thing they got right.
