I sincerely hope, for your sake and the sake of those whose life you might end up effecting, that someday you will find yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time or on the receiving end of a false accusation that results in your rights being ignored or unjustly stripped. Maybe then you will gain a little perspective.

And what happens if the FB player is ACTUALLY INNOCENT of the charges? Just because someone with a typewriter says this is the way things went down doesn't always make things fact.Originally posted by HenchmanHeres a perfect example of a moron with a gun, who will most likely get off.
Should he be allowed to own a gun? Hell no.

NO NO NO...your direct statement was:Originally posted by HenchmanDepends on the case.
Was he arrested?
Did he start the fight?
It's impossible to make a judgement, because you've provided no link to provide more information.
How long is a piece of string?
Nothing in there about innocent, nothing about who started it. So arrest doesn't matter. Who started it doesn't matter. They should have the common sense to stay out of a fight. PERIOD.Originally posted by HenchmanAnybody who doesn't have the common sense to stay out of fights or drive drunk has no business owning a gun.
As to this case...he got done eating at a resturaunt and was walking to his car to drive home and was jumped and attacked by 4 people he had never seen before. One pulled a knife and slit his belly wide open. His intestines actually spilled out on the streets. The police found that he hadn't been robbed, hadn't gotten into a previous fight with the others...that they did it just cause they could. But YOU feel that because he "didn't have the common sense to stay out of fights" that he shouldn't be allowed to own firearms.
Ya know...I have a music artist that I like. One of his lines talks about someone who is "so open minded that his brains leaked out". I am guessing he has met you.Comment

A simple yes or no question.

Actually you have TOTALLY missed my point.Originally posted by HenchmanDon't get arrested. Stay out of trouble. Get your record expunged if t is such a minor thing.
Smart thing to do anyway, since employers will see it when they do a background check.
Traffic violations?
Any DUI's?
I was not convicted of a felony it was a misdemeanor. Also in the situation I was attacked with no provocation on my part i was putting on gym shorts in a locker room and was sucker punched.
Traffic violations: Not examples but actual violations, several speeding tickets (5 total, 3 for 7-10 over the limit, and 2 for 15 over, and one ticket for having a tail light out ) so there is no misunderstanding.
But getting me record expunged. Well why is it that my record that is SEALED (by FEDERAL LAW BTW) is being used by the state? Am i getting my record expunged yes.
I was given my license by the state fully approved. Then I go to remain legal only to have them take it from me. After they decide to violate FEDERAL law and then punish me for it.
So yes you have missed the point.
Actually the answer to your question here on a legal basis is ..... YES.Originally posted by HenchmanShould known criminals who happen to have good lawyers that prevent then from being prosecuted after getting arrested time and time again, be allowed the luxury of legaly owning a gun?
They have never been convicted of a crime thus they ARE NOT CRIMINALS. No matter what they are suspected of they are still not criminals. Arrest records are not criminal records, only convictions count. Remember innocent UNTIL proven guilty.Last edited by sjrtk; 02-27-2012, 10:21 AM.Comment
