Terrorist groups in the US work in cells, small groups of 3 to 8 people each, anything larger is too difficult to keep hidden. Cells normally do not communicate with each other for security reasons, in the event that one cell is discovered, the others are safe from being discovered since the people in the seperate cells do not know each other and are unable to divulge information.
These attacks were very coordinated, obviously more then one cell is involved here, which leads to speculation of state sponsorship, meaning that someone in a foreign government or high place of office is coordinating the attacks.
Both towers completely collasped, collateral damage to other buildings, we're looking at the possibility of over 100,000 fatalities, with threats of more attacks pending. The response to these acts will be equally horrific, protocol demands that it be to prevent anything like it happening again. I suspect that as information filters in from the allies we have in the middle east, the US will more then likely declare war on those responsible.
The crash in Phili is now believed to have been shot down by US F-16's, for failure to respond to attempts of radio contact, it was flying toward Washington, most likely under hostile control.
Arafat, leader of the PLO, has been publicly denouncing these attacks, Bin Laden says he didn't do it, in time the truth will prevail, and those responsible will pay the ultimate price.
