I know from hunting most of my life that there are laws in some states that don't allow you to even load a firearm within a certain distance of a residence not your own.

De Nada? Less than a week to go until we see a very important, even critical election.
The vehemence that we are seeing, both sides declaring that their candidate is doing better is reaching ridiculous levels.
But what do I know? I'm just garbage that believes in meritocracy. I judge candidates by what they have achieved up to now. It's not even a contest.

And when I look at the state of the world, with Russia, Belarus, N. Korea, and Iran threatening to start throwing nukes around...Well.
Which candidate is better equipped to deal with that? To protect the U.S. and its interests?

Actually. the Democrat method is not tax and spend, it's spend first, then impose tax to make up the money.
And tax the rich? Look at how that's going in places like California or New York. Tax the rich, the rich move elsewhere ~ Drive out all the rich and who's left with the bill?
It's already happening at the State level. You wanna push that Nationally, the only ones left to pay will be the politicians pushing for it and the illegal immigrants.
Well, and people like you & me stuck in the middle.

Take a 35 trillion dollar debt, divide that by the 350 million Americans. (rough numbers)
Tell me what is each persons portion of that debt? I'll let you do the math. That does not exclude those too young or too old to actually pay into the debt.
To say that those individuals who have worked longer, harder and smarter to make themselves better off should have to pay more is hardly an incentive to make themselves better.
Maybe that should be the motto of the IRS,

Of course, even that is no guarantee that the revenue raised will be applied to existing debt. That is the question that needs answering.
Taxing the rich, then spending it overseas does not help the economy.

While one is free to express their opinion, I would say to Mr. Rothkopf that while I understand your blind devotion, I'm not convinced of anything other than you do not like Trump. There is zero substance in that article, not a thing about what makes Harris a better choice other than "Harris good, Trump evil!".

Most people think this is about the election. They don't think about the day after. Even the Candidates themselves have not spoken publicly about that topic.
Put it this way;
Harris wins ~ can she handle the backlash from Trump supporters?
Trump wins ~ can he handle the backlash from Harris supporters?
Which candidate is most equipped to deal with a possible civil war?

Let's look at the World stage. We see Nations like Russia, N. Korea, or Iran threatening to start throwing nukes around. China encircling Taiwan.
On the basis of meritocracy, meaning what one has achieved in life, which candidate is most equipped to deal with a possible world war?

There's an old saying that "People get the Government they deserve". If that's true, we should see in about 100 hours from now.
