Glad to see all of you refusing to acknowledge January 6 for what it actually was.

Good chance that Trump will drive this country to a recession with his economic policies and you'll only have yourselves to blame. Not that I'm terribly concerned because I'll just buy stock and another home at discounted prices and reap the rewards of it.

As far as Smart Parts goes... who shouldn't piss on their grave. They didn't invent the electronic marker and bought the patent to it via slimy means. Those clowns didn't have the ability / knowledge to build electronics. They are quite the definition of useless patent trolls. They provided zero value and probably still don't understand how electronics work.

      A quote:
On Sunday, the Kremlin’s official spokesman voiced cautious optimism about Trump’s upcoming presidency, saying: “At least he talks about peace. … He does not talk about confrontation.”
“He does not talk about a desire to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, and this favorably distinguishes him from the current (U.S.) administration,” Peskov said.

What's this talk of war? If you are talking about the Ukraine, the Ukraine only wants our weapons, which is ironically helping our economy and helping our MIC, in testing, using and evaluating the weapons of war that we sold them.

Firstly, anytime a budget/aid gets approved for Ukraine, it is not handing them huge stacks of cash. It is actually more of a shopping list that Ukraine gets to pick from. 155mm shells, rifle ammo, m3dical supplies, IFVs, APCs, general equipment that the US has stored. Then after the approvals are made, the US then rotates its stocks and can or will order new. For example, javelin ATGMs cost, $50k( not the actual p4ice, just a figure for this example). Ukraine wants 1k of them. That is 50mil. So the US deducts 50m off its aid package and Ukraine gets some tank busting missiles.

Second of all. Not once has Ukraine asked for any physical help, just arms and equipment. They don't want to entangle anyone else in their war, and so far, other than individuals who have gone over to fight in foreign battalion, as it were, the war hasn't shed any nation's blood. So aid, does not meanwe will or at war.

Third. The US is the world's police. When something happens, they call the US. We supply arms and equipment to Israel. We supply tanks, aircraft and equipment to those that are in our influence. We lay out Doctrine for how countries should act. We are importan, because we made ourselves important. That is why we have bases all over the world. If it doesn't effect us directly, we sure as he'll are going to be involved indirectly. Sometimes that indirect involvement is like Ukraine:bullets and tanks, orto be literally, moments away with a place like Taiwan. No amount of turning up your knows, will change that

Fourth. Our polices affect the world. There was the Iran nuclear deal, which pit restraint on Iran, which when removed accelerated the timeline of nuclear weapons from decades to mere years. Which that, now extends through the Misddle East, and our little friend Israel, through towards the Arabian Peninsula and East Africa and the Iran back Houthis, through to a world encompassing detail of global shipping. If the Suez canal is closed off because the terrorist attacks are too costly to shipping and the shipping companies, then the whole shipping mark3t will be bottlenecks with the now increased time to go around the whole of Africa.

Fifth ly. What is war? Tuesday last time the US declared was was Dec 8, 1941. Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Panama, Kuwair/Iraq, the former territory of Yugoslavia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria. And I am sure a bunch more. So no, president's have skillfully eluded the act of war, but it has not in near 80 years since, gone to war. And remember, who killed the Suleimani? Who likes launching cruise missiles? There will be a time that someone is willing to pay the price to stand up against us.

                Shall I go on?

So most Americans are ignorant in geography and world politics? That's not something to be proud of. Plenty of informed people remember what happened with the Crimea Peninsula.

Also the USA receives plenty of money through FMS which I probably need to spell out (FOREIGN MILITARY SALES) and lots of European countries rely on buying military equipment from the US. The US is very pro FMS and frankly I don't care if you don't believe me. You can easily find all the partners the US has sold F-35s, F-16, F-18s, tanks, blah blah blah to. So yeah the US has a vested interest in selling weapons.

Glad to see ignorance of geography and world politics is an accomplishment in this country. Sounds about right for this thread though.

Probably proud of this too huh ? https://www.apmresearchlab.org/10x-adult-literacy

Scott, I am not upset that trump won. I don't need to protest at all. In fact. I want trump to be the trumpiest trump a trump can be. I want him to put tariffs on everyone, I want him to deport all the people he sees fit. I want him to do all the things he said he would do. I want trump to everything in his greedy little heart. Cause he will burn down the US, and he will eventually screw up, screw over or screw sideways something so severe that, because he is the president, he will not be able to recover from.

Personally, I want Jym to give odds on JD Vance pushing through the 25th ammendment to remove trump, so then the Peter Thiel's, Elon Musks and the like will have a direct line to the White House, so all the tech bros can screw up this country further

So, tru.p can do all he wants. It shouldn't effect me that much, and in 4 years after trump tanks the economy, destroys the infrastructure, and bungles up everything, a democrat will come and fix it, like they do every time and I will just say, I told you so.

No, you didn't. Trump came into a booming economy, then while a global pandemic hit, he did almost nothing to put into place safeguards, act ahead of what the experts said, and went from one bungling to another. And again, trump is coming into a booming economy, as Biden had did the miracle soft landing, adverting a recession, inflation is at normal levels, and now trump wants another tariff war, after the last one cost him 28billion to bail out the farmers.

In other words, if you don't learn from the past, you are doomed to repeat it.

And, Vance will pull the 25th ammendment over on trump to assume the presidency. Show me I am wrong from the person who literally said trump was America's hitler.

He's referencing when Donald Trump TOOK office in 2017. Try and keep up.

While I won't claim it was booming, GDP was up and inflation was down when he took office.

GDP at purchaser's prices is the sum of gross value added by all resident producers in the economy plus any product taxes and minus any subsidies not included in the value of the products. It is calculated without making deductions for depreciation of fabricated assets or for depletion and degradation of natural resources. Data are in current U.S. dollars. Dollar figures for GDP are converted from domestic currencies using single year official exchange rates. For a few countries where the official exchange rate does not reflect the rate effectively applied to actual foreign exchange transactions, an alternative conversion factor is used.

The annual inflation rate in the United States was 3.8% for the 12 months ending April, up from 3.3% previously, according to U.S. Labor Department data released May 12, 2026. The next update is scheduled for June 10 at 8:30 a.m. ET and will cover the 12 months ending May. Below is a chart and

It was so great he even tweeted about it.

I really would love to embed the tweet/X post(?) but this forum is old. Really looking forward to whatever you're gonna say after that given that your savior to America said it.

I guess Donald is delusional too. You guys do a fantastic job I swear, it's pretty comical.

Next thing I'm going to hear in this thread is how giving two guys the same job for a Department of Government Efficiency is efficient. That won't lead to any confusion at all. In fact companies routinely promote two CEOs at the same time to improve the leadership of a company.
