And yes, I saw that as a headline I did not bother clicking on.

I've long been of the opinion that people who use profanity just don't understand English. It's a wonderfully expressive language. It's disappointing to see profanity in congress, but not the point.

The critical point is that Virginia Democrats are poor strategists. 50 new taxes, 7 gun-laws that some of which make most rural folk criminals.
Now, all by themselves, Democrats want to gerrymander Virginia. In a State whose Constitution requires bi-partisan public proposals and decision of Districting.
Currently, the Dems hold six of the eleven districts. The proposed map gives them ten out of the eleven.
They call it "Levelling the playing field". Even have a name for it - Prop 101 (meaning 10 to 1).
The justification is that "Trump" did it in States like Texas and Ohio. As if those States had less independent jurisdiction than Virginia itself has.
Apparently, Virginia is now responsible for the whole Country being a balanced playing field while disregarding its own citizens.
Ten to one advantage simply by redrawing a map? Virginia is estimated 47% Republican. Sounds very democratic.

What else have I seen recently?
Anti-ICE protesters in Minneapolis setting up roadblocks. Stopping folks and demanding ID before they are allowed in.
Enacting the very behavior they are protesting against. Even protesting at the Olympics in Italy of all places.

Congress given unredacted Epstein files? Happens on a Monday, by Tuesday there will be numerous leaks from "anonymous" sources.
Even though these are only the files already released to the public, not the new additional 3,000+ pages recently released.

What defines an "assault weapon"? If I bash someone in the head with a rock, is that rock a weapon of assault? Are rocks going to be banned?
And "gun violence" is all about restricting the guns, but not the violence?

If "a moving clock goes slow", does a stationary clock move fast?

That is why I don't do social media places like X or whatever.
I'll admit it is kind of humorous in a rather dystopian way. Like arguing whether a giraffe can smell their own farts.
It's a cute distraction from the real world. There's a lot going on, both locally and globally.
From US athletes in Milan to US politicians in Munich talking down their own country to the world is not a good look.
US Naval Task Forces in the med making Iran nervous does not look good, either.
Politicians like Newsom, Mamdani, Spanberger raising taxes to the point people leave rather than put up with it can't be good.
Not to mention (dare I say it?) the rise of Islamic religious doctrine trying to supersede western culture by imposing sharia law where they can.
