The whole Robin Hood "Tax the rich! Give to the poor!" attitude of altruism may be appealing; I can't see it as practical, nor pragmatic outside a storybook.
I've heard that people who vote always get the candidate they deserve. From money spent on high-speed railways that go nowhere to disproportionate taxes to funding trans promotion in Ecuador.
The mob rules, right? The majority decides the outcome. Regardless of consequences.

I have a question concerning the history of Islamic expansion and colonization. When has it ever worked?
They have always been driven back every time Sharia Law was implemented. Consider Charles "the hammer" Martell. Perhaps the Crusades.
It's not a new story. Been going on near 1,500 years. You could condense it into an episode of a "Pinky & the Brain" cartoon.
I see the term "islamophobia" thrown around. A phobia is described as an irrational fear. But, is it irrational to fear a theology dedicated to total domination? Total global submission to Allah?
I recently came across this, if accurate might explain the general sentiment through the centuries.
I don't fear Islam. I know Americans will put up with just so much.
Let them build their Epic City and keep out non-believers. Get them all in one spot.

I recently caught this discussion where one side claims that the flags are racist, that the "far right" are claiming their territory by hanging the St Georges flag.
The flag that has flown over British territory for many generations of immigrants. Suddenly, it's an issue.
Considering the whole island is British territory and the flag was flying before you arrived. Didn't you see it before then?
