    any guitar players?

J/W how many of you play guitar? acustic, electric, dosn't matter.

I had a Washburn acustic (well, my dad's really but he dosn't use it) but it was recently stolen out of his truck. Thinking about getting a Fender electric...

    any thoughts?

I play bass- I have an acoustic washburn, the AB-30 (I think Musicans Friend carries the AB-10 if ya wanna see a pic) Mine is wood colored.

I got my guitar for 1/3rd of the price from a Washburn factory special.

I can play "Hey man nice shot" by filter and "Blind" by Korn, that's about all.

              play bass

i have a 1981 fender bullet bass, sunburst finish, birdseye neck. 1981 was the only year it was made in USA then it was made in japan for a few years. its essentially an undersized p bass body with a telecaster neck and a mustang bass pickup. good bottom and really cuts through.
i have a 1995 fender jazz deluxe 5 string bass with gotoh hardware and active lace sensors. it has an awesome clearcoat on ash body finish and sounds awesome.
i sold my 1980 rickenbacher 4001. it was very pretty, white with black binding and mother of pearl triangle fret markers. geddy lee from rush had one just like it. of all my axes it played the best, action was perfect but it just never sounded good. i sold it and bought my minimag and some other stuff with the proceeds.

WOW! Looks like us bassist almost outnumber the guitarists! When did this happen!?
Well I play bass, and love it! I have a metalic blue Jackson 4string, and a redburst Austin 4string(looks exactly like a ErnieBall Stingray except for the headstock, even has the one humbucker and egg shaped pickguard! lol!). I play the Autsin, and the Jackson hangs on my wall looking fun lol. Ive been playing for about three and a half years now. I have a 60 watt Fender amp(its the Febder60 model), and a Dean Markey 40watt amp(just a little practice amp for use at the house, the other one is setup at my church, I play bass there).
I also HAVE an electric guitar, although I don't play it good lol. Its a black B.C. Rich Bronze Series Warlock(sweeeet), and I have a little Marshall amp with distrotion box and stuff built in. Its fun :)

                  ENDO!

ive played guitar a little over a year. i havnt really practiced in the last 2 months though, so i suck now, but im starting lessons again, because i just moved. i have a black fender mexican standard strat with the light color wood neck (i forget what wood it is). i play a lot of stuff, (but not very well, lol) from hard rock to blues to classic rock. the only song i mastered ( well untill i stopped practicing) was ironman, by sabbath. i only learned the first solo, cuz my guitar teacher said the second one was garbage. ive really been meaning to sit down one weekend and just memorize a ton of scales and chords, but well, im too lazy. sorry for the long post, you now know more about my guitar hobby than im sure you cared to.

                        Guitar > Paintball

Lets be REALISTIC, paintball ISN'T life- sooner or later your gonna move on, get too old etc. Guitar is something once you learn to play its something you can do till you old and grey.

                              prs

man i really want a PRS singlecut but i dont see that happening since i just got my SG and it took me a while to save for that. But anyway, playing guitar is definitly worth the initial cost, you should go for it, just get an acoustic first, then if you want buy an electric and an amp.
