What program do you use to create 3d and 2d graphics?

I would like to create an 3d automag in a program. Which program should I use? Price doesn't matter, I want the best of the best, but it shouldn't be that hard to use.

if your looking for one to design it by specs go for autodesk inventor 5 from www.autodesk.com If you want a more free 3d type program get 3d studio max from www.discreet.com Inventor is more of a design program because you can do stuff like blueprints and all and 3ds max is like what you would use to make a movie like toystory. both of these programs have 2 year student liscenses for a few hundred $. i think theres also other 3d programs like 3d studio max that you can download for free. try http://www.softimage.com/ http://www.lightwave6.com/ and http://www.aliaswavefront.com/

also... some of these programs are a bit hard to use but there are alot of tutorials and usergroups on the web

autodesk is great. ive got autocad2k2. its got 3d.

whare do you plan to get the money to drop for a $2000 program thow. i want your money. i had to get mine through work and it was still hard to get ahold of.

what was your favorite program out of the ones that guy listed?

Trading personal recipes which belong to you is completely different and perfectly OK. If you have an idea or way or doing something that wasn't taken from someone else then you are completely within your rights to pass it on as you see fit. The use of a book is different also as in many cases that's the intended purpose and why it was sold.

But I assume that is not the case with this software.

All software of the kind you are talking about comes with agreements that it will not be sold or made available to other parties.

Stealing software and buying stolen goods is no different than any other form of theft.

If someone can't afford a $1000 dollar marker is it ok for them to steal it from AGD and then sell it to you for $10?

Of course not. You can not justify such theft. If you are buying stolen goods, or just handling them it makes you as bad as the thieves as it is because of people like you that they are doing it.

If someone can't afford a Car is it OK for them to steal yours? Nope.

Please don't come on here bragging about buying something which is stolen. Or asking for any help about such issues. I expect there is a severe liability in conjunction with such issues.

You may try and hide your actions but what you are doing is theft and receiving stolen property.

I buy my games (well some of them) but high priced software that you only use once

I don't really care just because its not ethical doesn't mean I'm going to stop

Do you have winzip? well thats a trial version and they want you to pay for it but they dont require you too

well like i said some offer a free version to download (maya and softimage i think) and there are also student liscenses for around 200$ that last for 2 years.

you are stealing, you can try to justify it anyway you wish, but if one day the NSA knocks on your door, something tells me that your sampling theory won't stand up for too long.

the nsa?? if anyone it would be the fbi. and they are already tracking piracy, but they arent going for the downloaders they are going for the suppliers. so hes relativly safe. however if he was on a big release team he would be in trouble. and you may argue with the fact that the fbi isnt going for the downloaders, but i know for a fact its true. i dont have it anymore but theres some articles on the dep. of justices website about it.
