I hope you havent got your stuff already before I can even put in my opinion.

A toy machine board, I don't care what anybody says these are the best boards on the market simply becuase they have the right amount of flex with just enough pop to them.

Another thing to think about is concave do you want a relatively flat board or something with a little depth to it, this is why I never buy boards online I always buy in a shop so I can feel how much concave they have. This is something you will want to think about.

Trucks get Tensors, they have the best pivot cups on the market and are just a bit softer than most but don't stick or get pressed in on one side. The bushings on Tensor trucks interlock giving them a much smoother turning feel IMO and once again prevent stickage from side to side. DO NOT GET monster, independent, destructo. The only other good ones are venture and grind king.

For bearing high priced doesn't necessarily mean better I ride Speed Deamons abec 3 and they work great becuase the ball bearings are polished more than in most other abec 3 bearings and are relatively cheap $13-$15

Wheels are a personal preferance I ride whatever I can find cheap and ususally my friends used wheels becuase I flat spot them all the time withing a week of getting them.

Another thing you are going to want to think about is what kind of terrain you are going to be riding, is it going to be mainly park or alot of street. If you are riding mainly street gets something with a little softer durometer that will allow you to ride over alot more little rocks and things. I higher durometer is good for when you are at parks and on nice smooth surfaces where you can pick up more speed.

Don't skip on your hardward either always ride with 8 bolts in, it helps prevent pressure cracks and makes your boards last longer. Also risers are a personal preferance you either use them or you don't.

Now I hope I didn't just type this whole thing after you have already bought a board.

Whats a 'riser' that's a new one on me... or maybe we call em something different... the spacer block that goes between the trucks and deck maybe?

They are made to keep your wheels from hitting your deck when you turn and stuff. It's called "wheelbite". You don't need risers, I never use them.

Yeah, all decks nowadays are freestyle decks of old. I'm sure that pleases Rodney Mullen and Andre Pierre, anybody remember him? I absolutly loved my H street Magnusson. extreme concave, it was like putting your foot in a cereal bowl. And the tail was super steep. I ran indys and Hosoi rockets. I quit for a few years and got back into it. Now I'm using:
A team Deck. Seems nice enough.
Indy's. First truck I bought back in 86 haven't used anything else since.
Zero wheels. Black w/ little skulls on em. I never used black wheels before, But now I wouldn't use any thing different. They dont look horrible when they get dirty.
Also have allen head shortys hardware, I cant stand Phillips head anything. Something I picked of from paintball. Black Panther bearings, just so I can take em apart and fool around with em. And them soft dooks or something risers. I thought it would help with vibration but I cant tell a difference. And some camo grip tape.

I would try a different deck when I get another, I'll always get black wheels, doesn't matter what brand to me. I would never contemplate trucks other than Indys, its like a cult, I just cant leave, I'm a loyal follower. The bearings are kool cause I can tinker with em. So I would stick with em. And any allen hardware would be fine. On second thought all stainless allen head is how I'd go. My shortys have 2 stainless and 6 black oxide. Thats my thoughts

Nope, don't have it yet, and your input as well as everyone elses is greatly appreciated.
I think i'm going with the tensor trucks, as for the deck, ive used the elements and like them, so its not like i'm buying something that I havn't tried before. As for the toy machines, I'm not really sure I haven't used one before.
