I was at a car accident and this guy get's out of his mini-van and tries to apply CPR. When he felt/heard the ribs crack he stopped doing CPR, nobody told him that happens and he thought he was doing it wrong.

odd timing for this thread

the day after i posted on this i found out im going for my recert tomorrow. we have 4 hours of cpr and 4 hours of first aid. my first aid is good for two more years so i only have to do the cpr refresher, but thats still 4 hours.

i just found out from my boss i had to go recertify, i thought it was a coincidence(for me anyhow) that after this thread came up the subject came up at work. a lot of people here were saying how long or short their classes were. for us its 4 hours for each(just for comparison sake, a lot of times depending on the instructor it takes less). hell yeah its easy, especially when you do it every year for 9 years. usually we let out early to boot. no ones complaining, im getting paid time and a half for this, its fun and i get fed. i dont understand where the "pissy" comes from.
and in the event any of us in this thread have to actually use this, i bet its far from simple for anyone.thats a lot of stress and adrenaline being put in that type of situation.

mine took mabey an hour and twenty minuets at the most. i got in the newspaper for it! well atleast i thought it was cool.
