    Its not surprising that the TDI runs off of a new soy fuel.

    Diesel engines will burn almost ANYTHING. The problem is effeciency and deposits.

    I've heard you can run a diesel engine off Canola oil if you don't mind getting a mile a gallon and getting all sorts of crap gunked up in your engine. But the car WILL run off it, even if it runs very badly.

    So some sort of refined soy oil isn't too weird

    ANd yeah, we heard those gnat cars all the way over at the field

      well I have to say, good job making a 9.8 second car with only 5k, I've read in the magazine about those other civics and stuff that run high 8's or 9's and there budgets were much higher.
