Re: Re: wicked
Maybe, but I still like the SHartley style.Originally posted by shartley
In fact, I like the newer ones even better myself. And they are actually EASIER to do than sticking to one basic style because they offer you a greater range of freedom.
Yours is the one that made me want one. Thanks again Synreal!

my brain is kinda gooey from the past week at the office so i'm still not taking any new requests (transman, yours is on the way, i promise)
as for a scanline tutorial, sure, why not
<table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="2"><tr><td valign="top"><table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="2"><tr><td><img src="http://www.synreal.net/stuff/scan/pic_1.gif" width="140" height="75"></td>
<td valign="top"><font size="1"><b>1.</b> create a new image, 1 pixel
wide by 2 pixels tall with a transparent background. zoom in to 1600%.
<br>
<br>
choose the line tool and fill-in the top pixel with black.</font></td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td valign="top">
<table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="2">
<tr>
<td valign="top"><font size="1"><b>2.</b> press ctrl+a (or click select
- all ) to select the entire work space.<br>
<br>
click" edit - define pattern" to set the hilighted area
as a reusable stamp. </font></td>
<td><img src="http://www.synreal.net/stuff/scan/pic_2.gif" width="170" height="94"></td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td valign="top">
<table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="2">
<tr>
<td><img src="http://www.synreal.net/stuff/scan/pic_3.gif" width="313" height="219"></td>
<td valign="top"><font size="1"><b>3.</b> open the image you wish to
add scanlines to.<br>
<br>
add a new layer. <br>
<br>
click "edit - fill" and select "use: pattern",
select your pattern (ver 6.0), and click ok.<br>
<br>
you will most likey need to reduce the opacity of your scanlines layer
to make the image look right.</font></td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td valign="top">
<div align="center"><font size="1"><br>
<img src="http://www.synreal.net/stuff/scan/pic_4.jpg" width="200" height="134"><img src="images/1x1.gif" width="15" height="1"><img src="http://www.synreal.net/stuff/scan/pic_5.jpg" width="200" height="134"><br>
viola - before and after, simple ain't it?</font></div>

just a note, i have internet explorer 5.5 or 6.0 or something, and if you dont put the location of the file in the coding then it doesnt show up....<font size="3" font color="ff0000"><xmp> <img src="file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/John/My%20Documents/My%20Pictures/bunkered.jpg"></xmp></font>
as you can see the name of that file is bunkered.jpg . it is located in documents and settings , under my name in my documents, my pictures.
note:if you put<xmp> <xmp> </xmp> before coding, you can show what the coding is. i had to put that before my image tag or the image would have shown up.Last edited by EsPo; 09-13-2002, 01:46 PM.Comment
