Wow, nice work Fry. I get jealous when someone's work is better then mine.

But I have no right to since I dont draw or paint much anymore. But being an artist is one of my dying dreams :/

No need to be jealous, but hey that is why I am an artist today.

I was so jealous of my brother growing up and how he recieved so much attention for drawing. So I decided to spend countless hours in my room when I was younger. So jealousy will probably strive you to be your best!

Thanx Fry. I dont have any compition right now, so thats why I dont draw as much. It sounds stupid but thats what forced me to draw more. I need to start again. Maybe when I get to Belgium, I'll start taking classes again.

the first person that can convince me that someone who hides in the duct work of a gallery calls it performance art is more of an "artist" that someone who applies fine art techniques to a commercial, digital medium gets a free cookie. so far 3 philosophy of art professors haven't been able to come up with a decent explanation

I totally agree with you man. I don't have a lot of experience using traditional media but have been using 3dsmax for about 3 years and a little bit of photoshop. I just started The Art Institute of Seattle a couple weeks ago and that's exactly what that school focuses on, applying fine art techniques into a commercial field.

I don't know if it's the same in your field as the one that I wanna go into but I know that there's tons of drawing involved in the process of animation. I don't really consider myself a good drawer by no means but I'm sure that I'll improve those skills over the next 2 years and greatly improve my digital drawing skills.

It all boils down to intent. It does not matter what you are doing, as long as you belive you are making art. If while you are making your digital images, or even shooting you Mag, you truly belive you are making art, you are then a performance artist. Conceptual artist and art professor Allen Kaprow calls this "life-like art" as oppose to the "art-like art" we all know and love.
