Sorry, I think you misunderstood me. It CAN be done, just not easy. And, the targets at 500 yards are the big targets (sorry, forgot the exact name), not a little "krazy Ivan" target. Just that wind, temp, humidity, etc effect the round a lot more than 7.62.

If he WAS a terrorist, wouldnt you think that he could hit somthing at 100yds?

as far as the .223 goes (IMO) the round he picked was a decent choice just because its so popular. I wouldnt think that it would tumble unless your shooting really far... im gonna guess 600-800m(?) because its a fast bullet.

but has anyone heard anything on the two guys they caught last night/early thismorning? (10/3-10/4)

*L* Yeah probably a little bragging on my end ... I was the second highest pistol shooter in my unit (beat only by the range coach), and 12th overall highest shooter (pistol/rifle) on the base. Missed the top ten by 2 x's.

Well, looks like all the circumstancial evidence points his way. Thankfully, the people in that area can go back about their normal lives. Hopefully, this is the end of it. I read his profile on CNN.com, he was pretty much as I guessed, except for the age. And the fact he wasnt working alone. Kudos to that truck driver...he shut them down good.

                    Let Virginia Try Them!!!!

I may live in Jersey now, but I was born and raised in MD. My folks still live off of Norbeck Road about 2 miles from where the Leisure World shooting took place.

I love and miss my home state, but I don't want them to try the case. Maryland wouldn't execute a rabid dog! Maryland is the softest, most liberal state in the nation and Montgomery County is the epicenter of the bleeding hearts. A few expert lawyers on CNN last night stated that the defense's best hope of keeping these animals alive is to try the case in Montgomery County Maryland.

I say give them to "Try'em and Fry'em" Virginia and put these B@st@rds where they belong belong, not in a 12' x6' cell, but 6 ' closer to hell!

Ummmm . . . well . . . put. Moving on. I was listening to the radio this morning(FNX) and somebody said something similiar to, "I think they should have the both of them drive to a gas station and get out to pump they're gas. Then, a law enforcement sniper should shoot 'em." I think that would be quite fair for Mr. Mohammad, a little gruesome for the 17 yr. old though, who basically just did the get-away driving(Mohammad/Williams was ex-Army,
Marksmenship grade with the M-16). Just my 2 cents.
