HOPPY face it kids are sucky drivers . and they get in more accidents due to the whole thing being new to them and not having years of practice such as older drivers...get over it you gonna pay higher rates your not gonna like it but who cares youll be old soon enough

It's ok shartley..lol..I'm laughing at it all. I find it amusing when people over-react to stuff.

Saving up for a car now..I was just about to get a emag..but not I am going for a car. I'm a good driver, but just sometimes I don't always pay full attention, I might not see a guy slowing down, so I will have to brake suddenely or something. Nothing big like tires screeching or anything, just enought to make your mom freak out.

maybe we should ban car threads as opposed to politcal threads since cars seem to generate more controversy

food for thought: during the day there hasnt been a single accient in the vicinity of the school for years but just last week that record was broken by who but the driving instructor who while pulling into the parking lot kept driving and ran the pole right over with his truck and knocked it onto 6 other cars. as you can see the only people who really know how the drive are race car drivers and police(most of them ) for instance my mom goes 10 miles over the limit in alot of areas and she drives much better than people driving 10 under the limit(shes a retired cop that still is involved with police still) and my dad drives slow and then speeds up faster to go around corners and slides the car around like its a car chase or something (also a cop)

My advice to new drivers: Don't trust the other people on the road. Keep a fair amount of distance between you and them, and always watch out for problems. I don't care if I'm following one of my family members, my friends, or a complete starnger, the advice stays the same.

The reason I'm giving this advice to new drivers is because MOST of the experienced drivers already know this.

When I was in high school there was an accident almost every day involving expensive cars these punk kid's parents bought for them. It was pretty funny, actually.

Don't drink and drive!

Driving fast/raceing there is a place to do that, its called the track or a clear part of the highway that there is NO BODY ON that you can see a very good distance down.

Oh and one more thing once you do this (and everyone does... i think (i do anyway )) post your parents cars top speed unless your parents read this forum...

Or spend some time riding a motorcycle and truly understand that other drivers are, in fact, actually trying to kill you.

Hey Will, one other thing; DEFENSIVE DRIVING. Assume everyone else on the road will NOT obey the traffic laws (as they usually dont, no matter what age), and that they arent paying attention (read; cell phones and driving DONT MIX! Then, neither does eating and driving, putting on makeup...you get the point). You'll do fine; just pay attention, and youre better than half the drivers on the road.
I have kind of a long story about a lady we pulled over this past year...wont tell it here. It pretty much proves my point though. PM me if you want to hear it. Good anecdote on why certain people shouldnt drive.

Yes..I always tell my mom to calm her down, it's not me, it's the other people. I, alone, am a good driver. It's the other idiots that mess things up. As my freind says "Driving fast won't make your penis any bigger"

Yes..some idiots are out on the road. The intructor and I were talking about how just 20 mins of safe driving then the rest of your life you can drive however you want. Because on my test, I was actually cut off twice. Once on a left turn yeild and on a four way stop. When my mom tells me something I am doing wrong, I get mad. I know it's wrong. But if there was a ghost instructor in her car for 20 minutes, she would fail. So would about 90% of the people out there.

Ok..I'm just rambling on. I'm going to stop now. I do this alot lol.

A bunch of people got fined, from not using a direction blinker, from speeding, to not being registered.

Or getting lisence pulled...Speeding! I think..maybe 2 people..Most likely more, but that's all I heard say it. 30 over...15 over (school zone).. Hrm. lol.
