Wow, yall really overrated this game, I finally got a chance to play it, GTA 3 is much better, the motocycles are the only good thing in the game...The graphics are (or seem) worse than GTA 3, the whole game seems to have some wierd yellow fog, everywhere, and there are way to many cops, no regular pedestrians, (well, very few) and everyone else is a cop. The controls are the same, the weapons are mainly the same, except they are rainbow colored on your toolbar thing, controls are very scetchy, yes, there are a few additions, but it is mainly the exact same as GTA 3, with (seems to be) worse graphics, exact same controls, and not a huge variety of weapons. I think I just repeated myself, so ending, if you have GTA 3, just rent this(GTA4), and keep it for a while...

ttoad4000t - I completely disagree with you. I think GTA:VC is a big step above GTA3. The map is smaller, but you have such a bigger range of freedom. There are 4 times as many weapons, 100 or so different cars. You can enter buildings. You can fly anywhere. That's a BIG step.
There are a lot of regular pedestrians, everytime I go rampaging or go on a holdout against the cops there are pedestrians everywhere for me to take out.
Would you want the controls to have changed? I think their control scheme is pretty good... why do you think that the controls are "sketchy"?
The cops get annoying, the fact that you can get a couple stars on you and they don't go away gets annoying, but after you obtain some property there are plenty of places to find cop bribes etc.
This game is even more deep than GTA3, there are many many side missions for you to go on. If you liked GTA3, GTA:VC is a must have. Granted these are just my opinions, with all the hype that was out for this game and keeping in mind that Rockstar cranked a game out with a totally new dimension, more depth, and a multitude of new cars and weapons. maybe it was a bad controller, but the controls sometimes didnt move when i wanted them to. And there are still veryfew pedestrians UNLESS your on a rampage mission. If your jut screwing around with the sniper rifle, the only thigns to shoot are cars and walking cops...

if you haven't done it yet...its after the vercetti mission..shaked or something..but there are no missions for it...to satrt making money on it you have to go into the back room and get a "lap dance" and spend 600 bucks and then it'll make 4000 a dayOriginally posted by pumpamatic

and ttoad4000t...i totally disagree with you. i dont know what game you've been playing but it couldnt have been vice city. this game is awesome. the graphics are great and i dont know whats wrong with your game but my game has plenty of peds and the controls always work for my game...maybe your system is messed up or maybe you should get glasses because this game is way better than gta3...you probably haven't experienced the wonder of the helicopter yet...but this game is great and anyone who disagrees...well...your either jealous because your parents wouldnt let you get it or your just dumb...

lol, i just stated my opinion, ive always been a fan of the GTA series, but this one just let me down, you should definatly rent it before you buy it...

GTA:VC is all hype. Save the 49.99 and buy something with a little more originality. This is like GTA3 on crack, and no thats not a good thing.Wait till they get a load of me.Comment

I had a little bit more of a taste and now I'm hooked. GTA3 is still better in my opinion. This games physics are less realistic from what I've seen. I take back what I said. Long live GTA. Its been getting a lot of bad attention.Wait till they get a load of me.Comment

Well i got the game last tuesday. At first i was a bit sceptical myself. I kinda thought the cars looked like blocks(not as rounded or as well looking). I also thought the rainbow effect in the health and menu thing is kinda gay but then i realized, this is set in the 80's and thus should look kinda retro. when you think of the game in this mentality i think its excellent. I wouldnt even compare this game to gta3 because they are 2 seperate games and i find it unfair to say that the first one...which is set in a more present day.Comment
