I dont hunt just to kill. I hunt because its a way to eat very tastey food. I like going hunting. Its a challenge, deer are keen animals. Its harder than you think. If you dont like hunting, stay out of this thread.

Good to know that somone of Tom's status seeks "relief" from a sport he helped create. A sport now ruled by a single patent.

Actually that's one of the nice things about Russian. They write in Cyrillic... So in English, you just spell it how it sounds. (i.e. Josef, Joseph, Iosef, Ioseph: all the same person.)

I personally like shotgunning better, but Nice gun

Used to go and hunt birds, but lately haven't gotten the chance. I used to go with my dad, but he's been down for the count with artheritis, etc...

oh... and is it just me? or does HalB have some issues with his brain not working? Not just in this thread, but COUNTLESS others?

My cousins and uncles hunt A LOT. There's always some GREAT food over at their places post hunting season. The only reason I don't hunt, is that I havn't made the opportunity to do it.

There are SO many deer here in MI that it is downright DANGEROUS just to drive halfway across the state in the fall when they are coming to the more developed areas of the state to eat corn... My cousin hit one a couple years back, it almost totaled the car, and if it was a buck it would have killed her. A Deer is a BIG animal, and when it hits your windshield at 70+ miles per hour it does not bounce off.

I am an avid supporter of gun rights, the NRA, and I am ANTI liberal gun control.

Drop your guns and do it Indian style. No shirt, and a bow with some paint. Now that's hunting.

Holy Crap,I can't believe I read that whole thing!

I have many guns.I like guns.I don't like to hunt.

To me hunting is not much of a challenge.I like to do sports where the other guy knows he's playing. If anyone else likes to hunt,HAVE FUN.I have no problem with responsible hunters who enjoy it.

I like Paintball.I prefer to hunt the smartest animals on the planet.(well some of them)And it's even more fun if they know they are playing.

I shoot 3D archery.I find that a challenge.Shooting unknown distances with fixed sights,no previous scouting, bad lighting and other factors purposely designed to throw off your judgement, against other humans.

Anyway,I'm too tired to attempt anymore semi coherant thought tonite so enjoy.(I say semi because if I was totally coherant I wouldn't have read that whole rant.)

                  P.S. I Fish. Oops.

If you're shooting hot I fear for the rhino. But that would give our sport a bad image because first we would be shooting hot, second the rhino wouldn't be wearing googles, and third you are using the gun in a way it wasn't ment to be used.

That is a nice gun, but I two would prefer a Dagunov, and the scope is not too big,it is just right. and this is comming from someone who used to shoot alot of guns in the marine corps.
