Okay, on a scale from 1-10 (with 10 being the most) I'm just wondering how stupid you all think I am for what I'm doing. Today my boss gave out the new schedule (the one that she said would start in December, but decided to start today for some jacked up reason)and the girl who works the midnight to 9 am shift couldn't work, so I voulenteered to cover for her if the boss ok'd it. It's just makes my shift a double. Instead of working from 4 to midnight, I'm covering a 4 pm to 9 am shift. But here's the catch. Yesterday I worked until half past midnight, got home around 12:45, and was in bed at 1:30. Then I get up for school today at 5:00 my usual time, go to (med) school from 7-3, and now I cover for this girl at work today. So by the time this is all said and done, I will have been up for over 27 hours, fortunately I don't have to goto a clinical rotation tomorrow morning. I'm just wondering, am I the only one who thinks I'm incrediably stupid for doing this now that I'm looking back at agreeing to this?
BTW this was not entirely my boss's idea. It was partly mine, and I think it may have been the sleep depreviation talking, not me.
