no, they both measure energy. We are just accustomed to it ONLY being in HP...

1 HP = 745 watts of energy. So that would be 1 horsepower is equal to .745 Kilowatts...
Hey Zero, how much did that Chipley cost ya?

There's a website out there selling factory crate motors for really low prices. Big blocks nice horse power, and I mean nice! I think there is a 500 + cubic inch motor with approx 660hp(pump gas) - 760hp(racing fuel). When I saw the add in a magazine, I nearly crapped my pants! Those numbers are insane! Give me a little time and I'll find the add or website.

That is a pretty decent smoke show but it aint nothing till you blow up a tire. When i go back home ill put up a pick of my truck and you guys will be amazed that it can even move let alone blow up a tire. Its a 1979 toyota 2wd pickup thats got more rust than good metal but it can smoke tires pretty well. With a good clutch that is. Im about ready for my third clutch hahahaha.Thats one of the things we do for fun backhome is race and burn rubber. My friends got a truck like mine but i think its an 84 but he dropped a smallblock into his. Now talk about power to wieght ratios. That things insane. He can spin his tires and get the spedo to read close to 90mph. Much fun. He does go through a set of tires almost every week though. Hes even prefected a way to change tires using a 2by4 and a couple screwdrivers. hahaha

          Adam,

I did blow a tyre, in fact both. hehehe That photo was about half way through my burnout. I blew both tyres out after just over 60 seconds. They had 95% tread on them still too!!! That's why I love LSD's.

Damien, the easiest way to work out Kilowatts to Horsepower
          is:

          Kw x 1.341 = Hp

          Hp div. 1.341 = Kw

easy. they're both units of power measurement.

Here's a better photo of the smoke. Enjoy.
I'll have some more photos of my other cars up next week some time if I get a chance.
