Their rules can either be the bane of your existance, or something you praise that they actually have them there. All depends on the person. I have some guys that will hardly talk to me because they were stupid and threw up all in the hall in front of my door one night after drinking. And, of course, I have the guys that we sit around and talk every night (or every night I'm not holed up studying) or do fun stuff (you wouldn't believe how many people would actually get involved in a chess tournament at 2 in the morning...lol)

Take it from a RA--living on campus is great. I wouldn't trade it for anything... Well, maybe my own bathroom and a stove.... (kidding!!)

Don't think of it as being outnumbered, think of it as a wide target selection.

Ah, another RA. Good man! Free room and board can be a GREAT bonus to the job.

I am not in college or even close to getting there...
I wish I had some advice to offer. Allthough I belive some good ole high school rules apply... (drumroll) now Vegeta's High School survival guide list:

            1) Never put anything on your locker (or in this case, dorm room door) that may identify you or your friends in any way. This can come back to haunt you.

            2) if you are drinking, (try to) be aware of your surroundings... especially when dealing with ghouses that have two stories. What you thought was a door may just be a second story window.....

            3) Street signs make great christmas/birthday/occasional presents.

            4) When navigating busy hallways, just remember: shoot the gap.

            5) Computers may/ may not be classifyied as weapons. Propaganda can become your friend.

            6) Remeber htis line and you will make it through your first year:

"I was with you between the hours of midnight and 2am and we were nowhere near the chemistry labs."

HEEEEEEEEEEY I go to Penn State! Congrats on getting into Drexel! If you're majoring in engineering you're in for a rigiorous schedule. You'll have lots of work. There are often times that I have to study and do homework all weekend while everybody else is partying (damn liberal arts majors!). In the end I don't mind so long as I get a day to play paintball. Good luck!
