AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Coming from the former 1992 Black Honda Accord EX owner,
Former accord:
I put infinity kappas all around- 6.5" fronts in custom paneled door, 6x9" rears. only reason I got 6x9"s is becuz I got a great deal on them. would have rather gotten proper 6.5"s all around, sounds better.
Clarion something or other cd deck, was pretty clean for its daily beat purpose.
and this was about 5 years ago. [not long after I bought the car used]
Current daily beater:
Pioneer DEH-8400 head unit, plays mp3/wma files and regular cds, very very clean sound, plethora of in-dash audio tuning options, and the cool double-deck folding display. most importantly: for only $360 shipped too
4" Boston ral. components, 6.5" rears [infinity's taken from accord]
Current Weekend driver:
don't get me started
let's just say it has true 5.1 digital surround sound.

Cool, thanks for the input guys! Guess I'll check an alpine too.
Speakers: Installed the 6x9s. Had a bit of magnet clearence problem, but it was easily solved with a bit of fancy dremel work on the mounting plate. Definately need to dig out the rms requirements and run that and the fronts off an amp.
Zads - How'd you get the 6.5s in the door panels? Did you have someone do it or did you just make a mounting plate, cut out the stock one and peel and seal everything?
took out the stock plastic mess, used the infinity speaker bracket (not sure if they come with it, or if my friend hooked me up) to mount it in stock location right into the door frame metal
