AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I like that new Mustang model a lot! That's big pimpin' right there. Actually, I can't wait until the true baddest vehicle on the planet makes it's triumphant return to the road...the Pontiac GTO. The new one looks nice...sure, it's not a Judge or anything, but nothing is.
That is a sweet lookin car. But will that be the exact body style for 2005 or is it still just a concept? I just hate it when carmakers show a concept car and say they are gonna release it..and when they do, the car is just a shadow of its original concept.
Im personally waiting for the Pontaic GTO also. But then Ive always been a GM owner. Ive never been swayed to the dark side of the Blue Oval. j/k :P

Yeah it's just a concept car from what I've been able to find. I saw a special on the whole show and some of the new designs coming out look real sweet. I'm sure what we see actually on the road will be a lot different which sucks since I actually really like this concept. I did notice one thing though. Is it just me or are a lot of the newer domestic cars coming out that were shown there a lot more boxy?

i read that the GT40's would be $125,000. i cant remember how many the article said would be made but im pretty sure it was over 1000. it would be very stupid of ford to just do a limited number of the car.

just wait for the new skyline and supra?
more like wait for the new nsx..... and the new nsx will be cheaper than the current one, something like $70,000.
11 years in the making..... and the next generation acura rl has been 6 years in the making, nsx and rl are number one and number two on my most anticipated list
Coletti's team fit the SVT Lightning concept with an all-aluminum,
5.4-liter DOHC supercharged and intercooled V-8 engine conservatively rated at 500 horsepower and 500 foot pounds of torque (SAE net). And while they were at it, they invented and patented a speed secret for those times when even that much power just isn't enough.
Ford's patented SuperCooler technology cleverly provides a special burst of power for the SVT Lightning concept. Traditional intercoolers dissipate heat from the supercharged air by circulating coolant through a front-mounted, air-cooled radiator. With the SuperCooler system, the vehicle's air conditioning system is used to chill a small storage tank of coolant to about 30 degrees Fahrenheit.
On demand, the SuperCooler system switches the intercooler flow from its normal circulation and dumps the chilled coolant into the engine's intercooler. In turn, the intercooler dissipates up to 20 percent more heat from the charge air - resulting in a denser air charge.
A green light on the instrument panel indicates the system's readiness. SuperCooler is activated automatically when the driver depresses the accelerator to a wide-open-throttle position.
"This technology plays directly into the hands of the enthusiast," Coletti says. "The SuperCooler provides the edge for the driver, and it is done simply by taking advantage of the hardware that already exists in the vehicle."
As a result of this cool technology, the SVT Lighting concept can give its driver as much as 50 transient horsepower for short bursts of 30-45 seconds and regenerate within 2 minutes under normal driving conditions. While its effect is similar to that of an aftermarket nitrous oxide system, the SuperCooler is completely self-contained, environmentally friendly and regenerative."
Wow, the outside of the Mustang looks saaaweeeet! But I hate the interior. IMO, retro and futuristic don't blend very well. I do like the seatbelts and bucket seats(is that the right name?) though.
