As a parent, the only thing I can say is; I hope you get grounded and your equipment taken away from you for an indeterminant amount of time. I know that you aren't old enough to have your own back yard. and I feel sorry for you if you get away with this.

Why would I be grounded? My dad and I shoot our backyard ALL THE TIME and he really rips on his custom 98 RT, and that paint washes away in the first rain, and no one ever see's our back yard anyways

Were you not allowed to shoot in your backyard?
Edit: Where do you shoot when you get that new cool barrel in the mail? Or when you need to test the speed of the hopper you just got?

1stly, there was no such thing as paintball when I was a child. 2ndly, I do own my own home and that kind of ugly mess is not acceptable, even if there is no damage.. It's a matter of priorities and maturity. obviously you and your father have neither. (asuming you are truthful). THis is exactly the kind of thing that spawns kids going to shoot other neigbors houses, sheds, fences and stuff. I guess it's just a personal preference.

Heh I have a bat box set across on the other side of my back yard and I just shoot that, and some times the plastic slide on this playhouse thing we never used and cost alot (it stains the wood) but I dont have a gun, therefore I dont have pictures, but I have a case of paint waiting to be shot as soon as I get my gun (actually a little more of really old stuff that im gonna save even longer to see how level 10 can handle it

Im sorry I didnt realize how old you are

Do you think I am some kid who goes shooting up houses and cars? I really want to let you know how much I care for paintball, and how much I want to protect its image. I know and realize how fragile many people's minds are toward paintball, and the tiniest nudge can push them over permanently into a huge bin of hate and ignorance for paintball. I know those kids who buy blades and go shooting signs, cars, and even people and never really care about paintball, but the fact that they had a gun that shot things and left marks all over the place was cool to them. I really dont see how shooting my own backyard, which I mentioned already no one sees (back is woods), is bad or immature for any reason at all. I see in many cases how it COULD be, but thats not the situation I am in. I dont find paint on trees and on my shed disturbing in any way, and neither does my dad. And about my dad, dont put people down without knowing that person, or if you have a legitimate reason to beleive it, which this is not. If you really want to talk about it with him, I can give you his phone number.

RP, chill man. As much as I know what you're feeling there's no reason to flame him. If he wants to shoot in his back yard let him. Hell, I bet most, if not all people shoot paint in there back yard at some point, there's no reason to go psycho on the kid.

Falconguy016 - There really is no reason for a "Paint in the back yard thread". Seeing paint all over someone's back yard is far from interesting. Maybe set up a target and tell us how accurate such and such paint is in your barrel or something.

Sorry for chewing you both out. Just my two cents.

it's about respect for people and property. as Personman has eluded, he shoots at some old stuff. I happen to have a vacant lot (well actually a vacant waddie area of some many acers) and I shoot at targets now and again, but not my own property that isn't disposable. Like I said, personal preference and opinion.

Respect for people? What people, no one can see it
Property? I respect my tree and my shed, but I know paintballs wont damage either the tree nor the metal shed

Yeah, I don't think shooting up your shed is all that great. I know if I did that I wouldn't see a paintball gun until I moved out, but you're lucky if your parents don't care. I got a big rock in the corner of my backyard that I use to test out new parts and my mom doesn't really care. In the summer i just gotta take a hose too it since it doesn't rain all that much and she doesn't want it to look tacky.
