Paint in the back yard thread!

But yea, I dont think its wrong to shoot up my back yard.. seriousally, it all washes off after one rain unless its wood, then it never goes away.. or atleast its stained..

Lets face it. It depends on where you live. If you live in a suburban or urban neighborhood then it is very disrespectful (in my opinion). Even if you limit your shots to your backyard there is no reason that the rest of the neighborhood should have to listen to the rat a tat tat of paintball markers.

If you live in the country where neighbors are more distant that is a different story. If you have permission to shoot up your backyard then go for it. If it were my kids, however, grounding would be lucky. I might just go psycho on them. I'd definetely lock up the equipment after a backyard shooting incident.

we have a neighbour like you he called the cops because we were shooting our shed. the police got there and then walked away laughing about 5 minutes later i bet you can guess why

I don't know what you mean by a "neighbor like you". I don't call the cops on my neighbor. I'm not a busy body who thinks I'm the neighborhood police.

Still I respect the fact that they probably don't want to listen to me testing my marker in my backyard. Of course I live close in to downtown in an old neighborhood (back in the pre car days they built the houses close together). There is a time and place for things and I personally don't think that suburbia is a place to test markers. Just my two cents...

I gotta say shoooting in my backyard is stupid, in my friends, its alright.

He lives on the side of a busy road, but there is a 6 or 7 feet wood security fence there. On one other side, there are neighboors seperated by a chain link fence, and on the last side, a large lake. We test out stuff on the fence and into the lake all the time. We arnt stupid like so many other kids you hear of that go around vandalizing with it.

I gotta say, if you can be mature and do it without harm then its ok.

PS: we dont use masks either, but there is only one of us firing at a time, and all from the same spot, to the same spot.

Just a point of fact and maybe some clarification since you and others can't seem to read what I had posted, Maybe I wasn't clear, I don't know, so let me list it out differently.
1. No, I don't own the field/creek/waddie area (acres) next to the house. I had permission from the owners, and the local authorities to shoot there, out of public view, and I removed MY targets and disposed of them when I was done.
2. It is not the same thing as shooting up your local back yard and your own property (at least that's my opinion). I compared it to renegade paintball. (Nt my favorite way to play, but with permission and safety, it can be done.)

I am sorry I wasn't absolutely clear when I posted the first couple times. Of course, people will read what they want anyway and that is fine, but you can't stop me from having an opinion. So am I a hypocrite? not in my eyes. I see these two things as totaly seperate:
1. his shooting a tree, fence and storage shed in the back yard, for an unknown reason, other than to take pictures and make a post at AO with pictures.
vs
2. My shooting at disposable, removeable, targets to chronograph a marker, in a waddie area, out of public site and in a "renegade field".

ok your going to have to help me here RP i`m 21 male and canadian which means i have a intelligence level of a 7 year old and need thing explained sometimes. the way i understand what your saying is that it is ok to shoot on somebody elses land but it is bad to shot in your own back yard. if i got anything wrong there just tell me i`m just trying to figure this out

whoo what just happened i`m just trying to see from your point of view i can understand shooting in the back yard i just want to understand why you think it is a bad idea. i never said people can`t have a opinion i`m just trying to understand your point of view on this
