Dont complain! It actually is sorta pathetic, I was in Tennesee last weekend, it was 1* and 2 inches of snow and everything was working like normal, it gets cold here and everybody freaks out.

    I LOVE IT!

          hahahahaahahhah pansies!

I had ONE snow day during all of high school. And that was because we had gotten almost 2ft overnight. All the roads were closed, people on snowmobiles had to go out and rescue people stuck in their cars and stuff.

yeah i live in Ga too. My school system had a snow day, the only thing wrong with that is that it didn't even snow...They thought it might snow so they had one anyway.

My school cancelled last year twice because the weather forecast said it was gunna be bad. Turned out to be a nice sunny winter day with no school, twice!

We were let out at 11:00 one day because we didn't have any drinking water... but we don't have any now... the school is under major construction and so far every thing is messed up. our floors are bare concrete and there aren't any cieling tiles so there's a bunch of wires hanging down and stuff. There's also several 4 foot wide holes in random halls to the outside.

We didn't have any heat in about 5 classrooms last year and up untill a few months ago this year.

I live in Redding which is in Fairfield county, one of the richest (i wish that included me) counties in the country and we have no heat!

We had a 1/2" and they closed all the schools around here and I got the dy off work. Been hanging out all day playing computer games and getting the gas fireplace up and running. Nice and toasty here.

It's not you. People around here freak out. You could cut the letters S-N-O-W out of construction paper and throw it on the ground and in less that 2 hours you won't be able to find bread, milk, or a decent video at Blockbuster, anywhere.

It pitiful but funny to watch.

Well Its not all about freakin. Its all about do we have enough equipment to deal with it. In fact we do not. Nor should we bother to spend the money on something that gets used every few years.

I remember a record snow here in the early 80's and we ended up getting 16 inches. Forcast called for 3-5. We even lost power from it. I did not see a plow of any kind for five days. No power and No way to get out at all. I have plenty of wood and a wood stove and a gas grill so I do alright but have to prepare fuel and such. You do not take as many chances in the South with Snow because you know if they are wrong and its freak one you are gonna be miserable if you get caught unaware. It only takes one long period of coping to teach you to prepare in case. Up north they got Plows galor and eventualy they get to you. In a day or so. In rural South you may not see one for a week! And if there is enough snow to trap you for a week then you are stuck.

Anyway we got lots today. And looking like more coming the weekend. We in a pattern for snow this year it seems. Have not seen one of these patterns since back then.

We have gotten 15 inches overnight and no cancel.

I am in the snowbelt though.

Luckily they had to close because of the cold
