AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Sold The Mustang And Bought A Truck! (Did he say truck?)
Thank you very much! The wife loves it because she was not that great with a clutch. She can get in this thing and step on the gas.
As for the stang, well I am sure going to miss it but my heart has been set on a 2005 since the first time I saw a picture of it. That will be our next purchase.
Specs:
5.4 SOHC
Eaton supercharger with 10psi max boost
380 bhp
3.73 final gear ratio
Top speed - Yet to be determined but the clock goes to 140
Will post the quater times as soon as the track opens but I am thinking somewhere in the area of low/low 13's
Color is called Sonic Metallic Blue
I've seen them run 13.8's at the track here consistently, with the tailgates down. Put some street slicks on them and some structural subframe connectors, traction bars, etc, and you can get em to 13.00. I've seen it nearly done by just makeing them hook up better and still with stock tires.
Just so you know, Ford has announced a warning about the cruise control on these trucks in particular, and some other cars they make. The cruise can get stuck on, no amount of brake stomping or switch smacking will make it disconnect. Only shutting off the motor will kill the system.
One of the owners of the local Pball store was going down our infamous big hill, when his locked. Being young and not fully experienced at driving, he tried to stand on the brakes at 90+mph for 3 miles, instead of turning the truck off when he realized he was in trouble. Needless to say, his brakes caught fire, and the rotors got hot enough to start to discolor the rims. He came "this close" about a dozen times to creaming other cars, but swerving onto the shoulder saved them, and him.
With that been said....SWEET FREAKIN' TRUCK! wOOt!
I assume thats a 2002 because of the clear tail lights. It's a very nice truck, I've driven a few in the last few months. VERY fast for a truck, in all honesty I don't think the new Dodge Hemi could touch it.
What kind of Stang did you have before this, juding by your name I'd say it was a Cobra. So you probably know about www.svtperfect.com Real nice guys over there.
Anyways, good luck with the truck and If you're ever in Jersey I've got a Stang that would love to race you...
Thanks for the heads up Army. I will check with them today and see if there are any recalls out.
Polish, its a 2003. The Mustang was a 2000 GT with a few bolt-ons. I have a couple pics in the Mustang threads here of it. Best I could get out of it was a 13.47 at 102 mph. Believe it or not, I think this truck can beat that with some good traction. We are not far from each other either. I live in MD and race at Maryland International Raceway, but have always wanted to try a few of the tracks in Jersey so you never know, we might get that race one day. Used to have a Cobra hence the name but plan on getting a 2005 when they release it.
What kind of Stang and what have you done with it?
