Wow! That's really neat. I think there are some big spiders in East Asia that are huge and have a tendancy to fall out of trees and land on people as they walk through the jungle. I'll have to see if I can find out what they are.

I have a serious insect problem. I don't know what it is, but nothing can cause me to flip out like a nasty bug.

Spiders, on the other hand, don't usually bother me. That one, on the other hand, I don't know. Hopefully I'll never run into one.

Just as a related bug story, anyone else hate japanese beetles?

I was out with a friend one time and they were all over. I felt one land on my shoulder, and I brushed it off quickly and got into my car. Seconds later, I felt it again. INSIDE my shirt.

Anyone who has ever had a japanese beetle on their skin knows how creepy it feels, they have strong sharp legs and you can feel them pinching as they walk.

About a split second later I was standing in the parking lot, about 2 seconds away from ripping my shirt off as I managed to get the thing out of my shirt. I hate those buggers.

While it doesn't come close to the world record in weight, leg-to-leg, Huntsman spiders are among the biggest in the world.

Goliath Tarantulas are the biggest. Their legspan is about the same as a huntman, but they are much much bulkier.

Bugs I can handle, most snakes are cool. But spiders, NO WAY! I don't do no spiders...

My girlfriend always yells at me to kill a bug as she freaks out, but I usually just scoop them up in my bare hand and throw them outside. Roaches are the exception to this rule...

That's just creepy. I'm gonna have nightmares now!

I know I'm not going to sleep tonight.

I was playing in canada once, came out of the john, and saw what looked like a black widow (mind you I said looked), it was huge. So I promptly took out my barrel plug and made an orange (color of paint I had) and black mess on the side of the outhouse. The owner started yelling at me, until I showed him the mess, which still had a few of the legs intack.
