And, yet another thread. Havent we beaten this to death? Iraq is not full of terrorist, as we percieve them. However, they DO lend their land to the training camps. The Suuni muslims are more liberal than the shiites. The ruling party in Iraq is Suuni. The whole terrorism speil takes on a whole new meaning when a country's leader uses his military as an iron fist against his own people. There is genocide, torture, kidnappings, all done in Iraq, but their own government. Does this make him a terrorist? No. It makes him just your plain old evil dictator. A war with Iraq will not stop terrorism; it will stop Saddam from producing and supplying weapons anddelivery systems to those coutries who would buy them. It would also secure the oil reserves in the area, reducing global oil prices. It will also allow for a more pro-western thinking government there. And, yet again, we will rebuild the country. He is a brutal dictator, that needs to be stopped. The mere fact that he ALLOWS terrorists to train in his country is a good reason.
Eradicating the world of Saddam will not bring an end to terrorism. Nor will it bring peace to the region. It WILL remove one more harmful government from the world, for another 20 years or so. This is what needs to be done.
Protesters just speak their minds. Thats fine. Everyone has their own view. In this country, we are allowed to do that. It is our right. I, personally despise the fact that people think this will be resolved peacefully. I have my own reasons for that. I have spoken many times on this subject. I support your right to protest in America. Just dont go to the enemies country and do it. That makes you an idiot, if you think that your body will stop a bomb.Carry your signs and speak your mind here.

A war against Iraq will only help Osama win more anti-american support. The removal of Saddam wont hurt him cause he doesnt get much support from Saddam/Iraq anyways.

I haven't seen 9-11 Part 2...

...and hopefully attacking Iraq will prevent such a sequel.

probably because 1. not many people are willing to back someone like that, especially with 9/11 fresh, its pretty much political suicide, no matter who you are. and 2. if your a muslim fundamentalist you probably wont be taking anything from anybody who isnt a muslim fundamentalist, or at the very least a muslim.

London is supposed to have 500,000 protesters this weekend protesting this iraq thing. It strikes me as being odd that they are protesting the U.S. leading the Brits into battle but yet they were one of the first to send troops into the zone. hummmm ignorance I guess

Probably because most Muslims didnt like the Taliban either. And not to mention the fact that they were blatantly harboring terrorists that were responsible for 9/11. Most countries in the middle east could not dispute our right for action in Afghanistan.

The current situation with Iraq is not one in which I support the United States' active involvement with the taking of human life. There has been conflict in that region of the world for thousands of years and it's none of my business.

Don't think that because I don't support military action against Iraq doesn't mean I don't support our troops. As the son of a retired, decorated Lieutenant Colonel, I have nothing but the utmost respect for our troops.

The Taliban wasn't blatantly responsible. They were margionaly responsible. Harboring Osama until the US produced proof, and you could say they train terrorist, but they didn't train these terrorist.

And there are terrorist in Iraq, most of them are in areas protected by the US. Kind of a hard one there.

And there are terrorist all over the world, including many in the US (An no I am not talking about people of Arab decent), I am talking about you average day WASP american.

OK, i take back saying most terrorists come from Iraq, but terrorsits DO COME FROM IRAQ. I talked to my uncle who is a FBI agent and does a lot of domestic terrorist investigations, and he told me that it is true, Some terrorists come from Iraq, along with most over middle-east countries. He also said that they do harbor terrorists and some are trained over in Iraq. I could care less if your 1/4 Iraqi, do i actually care? NO. I dont. I dont care if your quarter Iraqi, it doesnt mean jack. Do you know what exactly is going on? there is so much going on that the public isnt aware of. The media is basically told what to say and do. We are only getting about a quarter of the story.
