3 people go to a hotel to pay for a room. The room costs $30. They each pay $10.
Once they are in the room the hotel realizes they had made a mistake, and the room only costs 25$. So they give the bellboy 5$ to bring up to their room.
The bellboy decided to keep 2$ of that money as a tip to himself so he gives the 3 people 3 dollars back.
They devided the money up between themselves and each got a dollar back.
They each originally payed 10$ and each got 1$ back, so they each payed the hotel 9$.
9x9x9 = 27
27+ 2 (dollars for the bellboys tip) = 29
What happened to the other dollar?
