The move, while unfortunate, was necassary. Davis doesn't fit the scheme and he costs too much money (11 million dollars). Davis is power running back. Spurrier has never used one-Fred Taylor is a perfect example. Taylor is a speed guy who catches well. Thats what Spurrier wants and thats what he has in Watson and Betts. If we need power we got the Rock (Cartwright). The Skins will be fine, it'll just take a couple of years. Either that or Spurrier will never make it in the NFL.

Hey Spurier is better then Shottenheimer!!!!!

The skins have had a rough couple of years hanging around 8-8 for 3 years now. But these are better then Petibone and Turner years! The skins have 3 rings. There will be more! Many teams can't even claim one.*cough*EAGLES*cough*

Yea. I want Gibbs back too.

Shottenheimer only made three mistakes during his one year tenure here in Washington.

1. Stephen Davis-Why he didn't start giving him the ball 30 times a game until week 6 is beyond me. Did he honestly think that he was going to win by passing the ball with Tony Banks as his QB?
2. Brian Mitchell-He pushed for the Skins to cut Mitchell. And ever since then, we haven't been able to return a punt to save our life.

3. This gets some space cause its the unforgiveable mistake and why I am so happy he's gone.

When I heard about this I couldn't believe it. Shottenheimer said that Darrell had bad technique and wanted to cut him. Oh. My. God. The man had been playing CB in the NFL for 19 (thats nineteen, as in 1-9, as in more than 18 and less than 20). 19 years and Shotty thinks he has bad technique. A future Hall of Famer and he has bad coverage technique. Right... How many Super Bowl rings to you have again, Shottenheimer? Zero. How many Pro Bowls did you go to? Zero.

And I think I hafta add a fourth thing to why Shottenheimer was crap: HE DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO COACH A FOOTBALL TEAM!! That's usually not a good quality for the head coach of a football team.

I was reading that the Skins wanted to trade Smoot and their 1st round pick (13th over all) for the Lions 1st rounder (2nd pick overall). Interesting, I wonder who Snyder and Spurrier covet so much-Rogers?

Also- The Raiders are putting C.Woodson up on the block. We shoud trade our 1st rounder and Smoot for Woodson and their 1st rounder. That would be tight-especailly if Wood is healthy next year. Can you imagine Woodson and Bailey on the same team?

Yea I know, I'm dreaming. But it sure is nice.

Smoot is all mouth. Get rid of him. As for Woodson, he is going to be a free agent I thought. No trades, just sign him.
