This was a joke! It comes from Protest Warrior, the website for anti-protestors that CPhil Posted.

As for North Korea, the US always demanded Multi-Lateral talks. NK caved. And guess who helped push NK into doing what we wanted? CHINA. China suspended oil shipments to NK for 3 days to force them to the table.

The US dominence of Iraq has scared quite a few counties. Look at Syria. They are proposing a WMD free middle east and are agreeing to be monitored by the UN. Of course this is a ploy by Syria to expose Israel's nuclear program, but it is heartening to see that our show of force has scared some of the autocratic regimes of the world to rethink their positions towards US requests!

Oh, wait! You want affirmation from the same Columbia University professor who said he hoped Iraq became 100 Mogadishu's for the U.S. troops.

As for me not checking for credibility... BOY... You don't have the whiskers to even make a statement like that. Yet you continually tell everyone on hear they don't know what they're talking about. Who gave you the Almighty authority to say what's right and wrong?

Yes Syria is being very clever. You hit the real reason for their proposal on the head. They can afford to do this, however, since we are NOT going to attack Syria. The administration is currently using the political capital it gained in Iraq to flex its muscles diplomatically. They would not seriously contemplate an invasion into Syria. It does not hearten me to see our country behaving like bullies. We need to get back to multilateral work with our allies not further distance ourselves from them.

It strikes me as strange that the first thing we do is accuse Syria of having chemical weapons. Shouldn't we at least find the large weapon caches in Iraq before we start with that threat? We have our work cut out for us in Afghanistan and Iraq. We are not going to add any more to our plate in the near future.....

When did I ever say that?

When ever I see information I check outs its credibility. If it holds up then I read the information and take it to heart. If it is contra my opinion, guess what, I change my opinion.

If someone gives me an unbiased, un leveraged first hand account that is true. Guess what, I will take it to heart.

When has someone giving first hand knowledge of something that I have dismissed?

Awesome point about Isreal. Hopefully, we can get that mess to some closure. I believe both parties are as guilty as the other. I do wonder if the Arabs aren't correct in point to a percieved bias to Isreal.

Bullying or leverage? Of course we are not going to invade Syria, but our threat may force their hand. I think that this is a very clever move by Bush, et al. Syria has a very young and new president. Would these moves have worked against Assad's father..No! But against the new one..maybe! If US policy can make him readjust the way Syria operates then it will be worth it. Who knows, maybe Bush can get Syria to release Lebanon. Israel left Lebanon, why can't Syria leave it alon too! Lebanon is like Syria's own little "Sattelite Nation". To think that 20 years ago, Beruit was the Paris of the Middle East (This was before being French was a bad thing )!

also the fact that we shut off like 25% of syrias gas a couple days ago with that illegal pipe line... i think that has some leverage there.

Well they did attack one of our ships back in 1967. Here is a link...

Don't know if I really believe that they knew it was an American vessel. I for one doubt that they would have knowingly attacked one of their greatest benefactors. Unfortunately when it comes to Israel vs. Arabs both sides twist every single argument around so much it is hard to know which way is up!!!

The US was giving information to both sides of the battle. So to me it is hard to mistake American flag flying and American markings. Especially since a pilot later said that they knew it was an American ship.

It is true. One of my best friends comes from Lebanon. He is Christian and said that before the Syrians took over, the Christians and the Muslims actually got along, not just tolerated the others existense like they do now.

I have seen pictures of Lebanon Pre-War, the women were very HOT!

P.S. My friend now hates Muslims with a passion after fighting them for 5 years during the civil war before emmigrating to the US.
