Marines are fighting on the Iraq-Kuwait boarder. Troops are being told to be combat ready by 11:30 eastern time.

Looks like the rest of the fight may be starting.

I know this is a little off subject but you know the pilot missing in action from the first war. Well his best friend married his wife. Can you believe that? Imagine coming back from Iraq as a captured solider for about 11 years and your best friend has kids with your wife. Thats so messed up.

Well still no conclusion reached as to wether we got him last night or not. Pleanty of reasons to think both ways at this point.

First off is his appearance was pre taped. And his only references are to the date that he knew was the deadline and vauge reference to attack that would be obviously the pre rehearsed order to play the tape. Most likely he made a series of them.

Now the odd thing is that he has never appeared in Glasses reading from a paper script. He always uses a telliprompt and will not be photographed in glasses. And last nights tape he was.

US is studying voice analysis and trying to get some photographic and satellite asessment and some direct confirmation of the damage. We do know that important personel would have been in there and killed. Who and how many is still up to debate. No damage assesment in yet.

There is some evidence he may have at least been injured if not killed and some of his top aids were killed but I do not know where that information comes from but it was recently reported.

Yes they are reporting that Iraqis set fire to four wells. One of which is the one that they leaked a mile long spill out in preparation the other day.

US forces expecting a missle attack from the Iraqis at any time as darkness of night falls. They shot four off last night into Kuwait. Two were intercepted and two fell but no targets hit or anyone injured.

More Iraqis surrendering numbers unclear but still small number at this point and some Iraqis armored vehicles destroyed moving near the boarder by US forces.

An armored division is moving to Iraq. I found that a new twist. They are softening up with artillery but are moving in by ground. There is going to be lots of suprises in this plan. This is one of them. 3rd division. Seems they saw clear sailing ahead and are going for ground.

Oh and if I have any reason to believe anything that is posted here is not from already released news reports and I have reason to suspect it may be inside information that you are giving out I will delete it just in case. Right or wrong. If its not on the news and a reputable scourse it will be removed

I remember watching Fox News saying that strikes will be different than the last one. There will be air strikes with ground forces advancing at the same time. I think it was a military advisor saying this.

Reporting that two Al Samoud Missles were fired today by Iraq. One was shot down and the other broke up on its own in flight.

Watching the IR of the attack on Bagdhad. Pretty crazy stuff. Makes you wonder what is going on.
I was thinking about the possibility that Saddam was wounded. That may be bad. If he is wounded, and in a hospital, he is no longer a lawful target, as hospitals are not allowed to be targeted by internationl conventions. But, my guess is that due to his ego and personality, he won't. He feels that he, at least is invincible. We are going to prove otherwise. Bear in mind, what I just said is just my thoughts on the subject. Well, execpt for the part about proving Saddam is not invincible.
By the way, in case anyone is wondering what cphilip meant by he might delete things that are not from a confirmed news source, cphilip is totally correct. anything like that could create a security risk, and in an extreme case, cause American and Coalition lives.
The oil fires are pretty interesting. I'm trying to figure out the value of that. Do you think it could be a scorched earth policy? (Look in the civil war and russia in WW2 for a reference.) I can't help but wonder, because I don't think that the oil fields are an onjective. Maybe, they think it might foul up our intel gathering, or visiblity?
