Hey everyone, sorry I didn't post all weekend, I got my tax refund .
I saw that report that a U.S. solider went off the deep end and threw grenads at two tents and shot an officer. I was wondering if they said what base it was. It looked a lot like the base I was at when I was over there.

Well the most interesting things I saw was his praise of the 51'st infantry which was the very first one to surrender without firing a shot and the mention of battles in which he mentioned only one wich was very light resistance and no mention of the fearcest one that still going on. I believe it of course was taped but claimed to be live and many Local Experts believe it was made before the bombing started. Almost no information contained in it would shed light on recent specific events. And no metion or gloating of surviving any attacks by him wich surely he would have used to his advantage if it had been made after the fact. One things for certain from the factual errors even if it was taped no one edited it to remove any errors to eliminate those factual errors. One might guess that they did not have a chance or know the actual events to be able to do so. So either there is a lack of ability to get communications or its old and no one knows to check it. Or was afraid to check it and edit it in any way. Interesting stuff. This one looked slimmer than the first one too.

Been watching the news, I saw that they executed some POW's of ours. I hope they hang these *&^%$#@!?~!@# from the highest tree. We would never do that to their troops when we capture (read: they surrender) them.
This is pretty serious. That is a war crime. And people wonder why we went in.
Godspeed to our troops, and God rest our losses,

It was Camp Pensylvania based in Kuwait. He recently converted to the Muslim religion. Officials are saying that his motive was resentment. It is not clear if it was because he opposed the war or because his supreriors did not allow him to advance with his unit.

Recent update about the chemical factory:

Officials were downplaying reports that a "huge" suspected chemical weapons factory had been found near the Iraqi city of Najaf, situated some 90 miles south of Baghdad.

A senior U.S. official told Fox News that there is "nothing to substantiate it."

"It is a place we believe might have been a chemical weapons storage factory years ago, but nothing current," the official said. "Checking it out, no great belief it'll turn out as initially reported."

CENTCOM said it's premature to call the Najaf site a chemical weapons factory.

Defense officials told Fox News that two generals in charge of the facility had been captured and were providing "good information" that may help dismantle Iraq's weapons program.

An Apache helicopter was downed by small arms fire. An Iraqi television crew was at the scene after the attack. The reporter did not show any pilots but were later seen on Iraqi television. Another violation of the Geneva convention rules of POW's.

too bad, U.S. and Britain are the only nations the proceed by the Geneva Convention. Actually i would say that it is obselete

i doubt anything will happen to russia. they are actually good friends, and will most likely work things out. Russia is actually a key ally of the U.S. despite past wars. with China's econoamy growing, they will soon want to be known as a power to be reckoned with. And China is russias main allie. Soo you see its all one big circle that needs to be kept not hostile. and on good terms, to preserve some kind of world order and peace

as i am sure some of you have heard of the video tape put out of the POW's that the iraqi's killed and taped. the tape will not be shown on US televisions stations because they refuse to show something so grousum to the US public. howvever, my family is russian speaking (not from russia, form tajikistan, moved here in 1991 cause muslims threatened to kill our jewish family) and we ahve satelite TV so my parents can watch some russian shows and their news showed the video and i was watching US news and my mom walked into the room in tears and was like "i almost threw up cause they just showed that tape" supposedly the bodies of our soldiers were dismembered and they were shot int he forehead. if i am saying something too graphic one of the mods should feel free to edit this. but the iraqi's who did that deserve to burn in hell for doing what they did. and i was watching CNN last night, power hour or something at like 11pm, and they interview one of the guys from al jazeera tv (muslim world tv) and he said the reason they showed it was to show the grousumness of war and it doesnt violate the goneva thig, wel he can bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep (you know what i'm saying) and the cnn guy just tore into him. but yeah, GW is very very upsetand with everything the iraqi's are doing something tells me our troops are gonna get a bit more hostile to the iraqi people, same thing that happened in vietnam where they begin to lose sympathy for the enemy as compatriots start dying in front of them, and maybe it's a good thing, maybe it's a bad thing, who knows. but that's my 2 cents.

it wasnt "Downed" by fire, those hunks of crap fall outta the sky on a regular bassis...

on that note i would NEVER want to join the army. i was listening to some formal army brass and they were saying these captured soldiers were like casualties and will not be attepted to rescue... id join the marines cause everyone, from the guy next to you in the trench to the top brass will do everything they can to get you back. im gunna work my *** off if i know that should something happen someones gunna do thier best to bring me home, alive or in a bag, im going home. so if they would do that for me i would do that for them, if i had to go ito the dessert under heavy fire to rescue one mechanic, and i died in that dessert along with other people so that one man could get home alive or dead then im ok with that. cause i made a promise to him that no matter what that i would do all i could to bring him back, dead or alive. and id do that because he would do it for me... well i think i just joined the marines.... i gotta go think

maybe you don't understand. its not the right time for a rescue, it would stray us from our ultimate goal. As disheartining as this is, thats the way things go. In desert storm we did not make any formal attempt to rescue our troops. (i do not think at least) Plus we are not sure where they are being held.

People just be aware of the intent to use propaganda and not just Iraqis but people opposed to the conflict are indeed using it freely. Cyber attacks have picked up and they are even going so far as to put Anti War statements on company web sites in hopes of alienating customers and even photo shopping pictures to show casualties and such. Its a very high tech campaign going on so do not believe all you hear or see. It may not be real.

Aziz stated just yesterday that the Iraqis war plan was to stall and not fight and use tactic such as staging in Hospitals, Mosques and Schools to increase the civilian casualties. Including we now know fighters in civilian clothes and vehicles. All to stall and gain political sympathy for them and perhaps win the war that way. That is there stated goal now and we are going to see some increase in civilian casualties as our troops will not be able to be as carefull before they shoot as they wanted to be. Its unfortunate but its the game Iraq choses to play. remember that life is cheap to them and they are not above sacrificing innocent children to aid thier cause.

Here is an example of one shocking missinformation. This following picture was shown and now all the sudden has shown up showing the childs feet blown off. Of course this shows that is not the case! But someone Photoshopped it and put it out as gospel and pointed to it as an example of how bad America is.

thats some motivating trash right there killer, hoorah. thats what its all about, lets not turn this into a which service is better argument though (although we all know which service that is ), all the troops are in this together and we all want them to come back safe.

new news, bosra has an uprising now supported by british artillery, came as a big surprise to coalition, but it is a very very very very good thing, hopefully other groups will follow. i guess these people are of shia origin and are revolting against the camel jockys. also, the bombing continues, even through the big sand storms over there right now.
