I got a nasty infection on one side of my toe once from an ingrown nail.

Took about a week to heal. Screw going to the doctor though, a pocket knife and a bottle of peroxide will cure what ail's ya. Worked for me.

Of course, if you have a low tolerance for pain and pus, by all means, go see the doctor.

I would do that, but only problem is that the infection has grown over the top of my toe, well that has to be cut open, has to be sucked out with a suction.

              awww

be a man and do it your self!!! i had an infection on my toes cause after i would cut my toe nails i would miss the sides get these little corners and i would pull then out and they would bleed and stuff. and after a scab would feel over and some cotten from my socks would be in then i would get a knife and i would clean then and put my feet in warm water. this went on for about a year till it got really infected and the doctor said i would of died from the infection if i waited to long.....he was just trying to scare me. what a jerk.

sneakyhacker420 we want to see pic of your little family on your feet.

man good luck on the surgery. they give you two of the MOST PAINFUL shots youll ever have, one on each nerve on either side of your toe, one of the needles will go straight throgh the callus on the side of you foot. man i can handle pain really well but i was crying, literly.

they will tell you that youll feel a soft prick and a small burning sensation, really what they do is jab a blunt steak knife through your foot and seal it with a blow torch

yah, i had a pretty bad ingrown toenail like that. at least once a day i would stub it, and then keel over in pain. i ended up getting it removed, but it took a few weeks

Once I stepped on a round toothpick that was stuck in the rug. It buried itself about an inch and a half into my heel, and then snapped off right below the skin. Talk about painful.

No one was home, and I had to pull it out with an old pair of pliers, but it was hard to grab since it was inside my heel. I'm suprised no one called the police I was screaming and cursing so loud.

In brief, round objects in your feet hurt like hell.

I had an infection like that. Their caused stubbing your toe just right, or ingrown toenails and stuff.
Mine turned deep maroon-purple before I did something about it. Instead of going to the doctor, I would just lance it myself, let it drain, then soak it in peroxide or alcohol for a few minutes. When it wouldn't go away, I finally went to the DR...

When my toe was infected, every time I cleaned it out it would just get infected again.

Turned out there was a tiny bit of nail down in there that I hadn't gotten out that was causing it all. I had to go digging for it, not too pleasant an undertaking. The doctor probably wouldn't have missed that bit of nail the first time, but hey, my way worked in the long run, my toe is still here and healthy

I have had that in both toes at once. I had to go to Dr. and he cut out the sides so I cant get the ingrown toe nail painfull puss oozing infection again.
