        Thank you for fighting for me.

        I hope that you can appreciate, however, that one of the things that separates us from those you're going to be fighting, is that we allow people to express their opinions about the government freely. There are many countries, especially in the area of the world where you're going, that will stone you in the street for saying anything bad about the government, or that you think to believe that you'll end up will a bunch of virgins after you die if you commit mass murder, is just plain silly.

        Don't forget what it says right after the "life liberty and the pursuit of happiness" part in the Declaration of Independence:

        "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

        This isn't a political rant, it's a celebration of the ideals that this country was built on.

          Good luck. Boot camp will certainly suck at times, but your regular Army duties will not be nearly so bad.

          Those who have never felt the calling can't imagine.

              no no medical chapter. Funny thing is I am going back as a contractor on the 18th of feb 2006. go figure
              thats what my unlce did. he was in the army for around 20 years. But hes over in iraq now as a contractor. he says he likes it a lot

                    I understand why you made your decsision but I think the logic behind it is flawed. Both the British and American governments have admitted that invading Iraq was a mistake, and their reasons for doing so was based off bad Intel.

                    But obviously my liberal lefty pinko commie *** opinion isn't going to change yours, so good luck and stay safe!

                      With who and to do what? I've already done one contract in Iraq, and am on another here in the US. Might be going back over in the near future too.
