There are times when AO makes me want to vomit! This guy is not a good speaker! The last president who was really good at the pulpit was Reagan and I was not a big fan of his. That guy, however, could speak!
Everyone touted Clinton's speaking ability but he SOUNDED insincere and full of it to me and I AGREED with his politics. Some of the sentiment on the board reminds me of the whole "for king and country!" battlecry. In America we modified that cry to "for country!" This is a man who happens to hold the highest office in our nation but he is still just a man. Politics, special interest, etc. dominates his life (as they do for EVERY president). Let me explain that I do NOT think this is a BAD thing. That is the way our system works and it works better than any other system of government ever created (in my humble opinion). That being said I look at ANY politician with a skeptical eye and try and figure out if the interests that they represent are in tune with what I believe are in the best interests of the nation.
Yes I am a democrat but Clinton's politically correct "feel good" speeches made me sick. The democratic senator from my state (we have one Republican (who I voted for) and one Democrat (who I also voted for)) gives speeches about how he attacked big tobacco companies on our behalf. My politics happen to agree with his on smoking but I also realize that he loves to tout this because it is a "safe" issue in Oregon and there is nothing courageous about telling us EXACTLY what we want to hear. Politicians are just men who we entrust to do the administrative tasks while the rest of us focus on producing goods and truly making America a great country. It is, however, our civic duty to be suspicious of them. The founding fathers would expect nothing less of us....:)

You also understand a joke when one is presented, no matter how bad it is!
