I would go to one of their comcerts just to see them play some classic stuff, but their not they'll probably try to sell records to make more money. Greedy Lars sued Napster.

I have Kazaa and I buy more CD's because I have heard the songs on it.

my opinion is that the 90's mettalica(late) is not as edgey or as good lyricly as the earlier mettalica, that is my opinion, also while i have an opinion i have to say led zepplin blows donkey .... well you get the idea, but not as much as Rush, now they really suck

He's right 90's Metallica isn't as good musically or lyrically. They can't get a GOOD song past 8 minuetes.

I like Metallica. I like new Metallica. I really like old Metallica. It's my opinion that a band is not aloud to change. I know, that's not the case, what ever, I said it was my opinion. To me Metallica is "Whiplash" and "Creeping Death". Thats what I grew up with. Thats why I went to see them 9 times. It almost makes me sad to see and hear them now-a-days. Just when I thought Metallica had drifted out of my musical interest, I watched Icon, and thought: "JESUS CHRIST, ITS METALLICA.....METALLICA!!!!! I hope they're around for a long time, and no matter what they put out, I will listen to it, and respect them. I have yet to find another band that takes the place of Metallica in my musical interests.

Hey superdesk2007, have you even listened to Garage Inc. or S&M??? There are plenty of songs over 8 minutes on both of those albums that are beyond good. Maybe you should take the time to listen to them before you start talking about stuff you haven't the slightest idea about.

LMFAO....Obviously YOU have no idea what your talking about. Garage inc ARE COVERS. They arent metallica songs! And s&m is a live recording of a show, not a new album! Jeez...that was one of the dumbest posts I have ever read. Truthfully.

Half your posts, buddy, don't make much sense. Work on sentence structure.

Sure they're covers, but they played them great. Really great.

Truthfully Squid, you're one of the biggest idiots on this forum. Period.

So what if Inc. & S&M wasn't all new material? BIG FRICKIN' DEAL!! You do realize that most bands do covers, right?

Care to tell me the origins of Garage, Inc.? Don't know, eh? In a nutshell, Inc. is a compilation of *GASP* PRE-90's METALLICA( !!!! Garage Days Re-Revisited) as well as several unreleased covers and some new covers...

The shear ignorance and idiocy of some people astounds me. I'm not bashing the youngins for their opinion, they're entitled to it and that's fine by me. But these guys are just being ignorant, and it pisses me off.

But you never answered my question....How, when, where and why did Metallica ever sell out??? So what if there covers, every band does them and still doesn't make them a sell out. The only reason Megadeth became popular is because Dave Mustain was claiming that Lars and James were stealing his songs. AC/DC is a pure Rock and Roll band, not a metal band. Angus can kick anyones butt on the guitar though. Iron Maiden sucks so bad that they have to go back on tour just to get noticed again. Going back to Garage Inc, half of the album is unreleased 80's to mid 90's tracks. Even someone of your "stature" would have noticed that. On the S&M front, most of it is pre 90's Metallica on the track. Any band that can incorporate classical music into there music deserves much more credit than what your giving them.
