    Butt excercises...

    Not trying to sound fruity but I was wondering if anyone knew of any excercises that work out the buttocks. Because Well, I walk all the time and occasionaly lift weights and I recently lost about 15 pounds, but my damn *** is huge! It's like the biggest part of me and I want to get rid of it. Like when I'm buying pants I have to get pants that are like realy big because they won't fit over my butt. So anyone have any suggestions to help out my fat ***?

      Make a commitment and start lifting. A lot. You won't lose the fatass, but you spend a couple hours a day lifting you'll be an ***-kickin fat kid.

      ...or the stair climber...

        running will also help your buns incredibly. It's quite possibly the best way to tone it up and burn body fat. Also, seated leg press and hack squats.

            hmmm...how do i describe this...they have machines where you lay, on your stomach, and from the waste up you are hanging off the machine. What you do is hold a weight on your chest and raise your upper torso as high as you can. and then back down to flat. repetitively.

            It works on lower back and butt mainly.


            or. lay on the floor on your stomach and raise both of your legs off the ground and your upper body kinda like your pretending to be superman. raise as high as you can and hold it for a few seconds and then go back down.

              Try getting on a stair and put the tips of your toes on the edge of it and going up and down on it. That either works your butt or your calves, but I think it works the calves. It may work.

                      you guys really don't know how to isolate. wicked, that's mostly lower back. paintbattler you were correct in thinking that's calves. both of them do work the glutes a bit but that's secondary to other muscles.

                      i wouldn't recommend working your muscles a lot in the area where you want to burn fat. it just doesn't work that way. you can't target fat to burn. building muscle there has a very high probability of making you look fatter. the muscle is under the fat. if the fat doesn't go anywhere and the muscle underneath gets bigger what do you think is going to happen?

                      that said, in order to exercise the glutes do anything involving thrusting your pelvis forward and/or your legs backward. one of the better ones is to lay on your back with your knees bent. thrust your pelvis upward and concentrate on squeezing your cheeks together. also making a butterfly motion with your legs while laying on your back or side. squats work well and they'll help balance your legs out so you don't have a gi-normous muscular butt and skinny legs. of course if you can get the right "equipment" there are much more enjoyable versions of the pelvic thrust. i'd highly recommend trying those.

                            Ok, for girls, they call 'em something else (keugles or something), but try this- when you're sitting on your rear, watching TV, squeeze your butt cheeks really tight ( like flex them), then relax. Keep doing this. You can do it in the car, on the bus- whenever you're sitting down. Muscles tighten by use, and if you have to sit all day (like I do, stuck in offices and classrooms), this is one way to exercise without running around.

                              ummmm daisy duke, the kegel exercises aren't for the butt... they're for the other end. and i'm not going into any more detail with that. :o
