That's pretty cool. a while back my dad got suckered by one of them telemarketing things and he was sent a Hard bound book on all the Fletchall's in the World with their address and stuff. it also has the Fletchall familiy origin and the origin or the name. and of course the family crest. I don't remember much about the crest, it's been a while since I was it. But Fletchall comes from fletching as in fletching a bow. aka archer crazy huh?

Well my last name is Casani, its Italian, but its such a small family you don't find many of us anyway, I don't think we have a crest.

On my moms side though, the family is chock full of O'Grady's. My mom has 42 first cousins through the O'Gradys, its a huge family.

Hmm . I remember seeing mine during Vacation, there was a store that was selling mugs with last names and the crest.

I tried googling mine, but all I got was Crests made out of Wood (And damnit AIM is getting to me again, I just pressed Control Shift 8 to try to make that smilie ))

My last name is Sloan, which is Irish Gaelic for "Warrior" (pretty cool, huh?) It's a shortened version of the original O'Slaughihan, which I think techinically meant "Soldier". Anyway, apparently at some point they used an "e" at the end to denote whether you were from the rich Sloan's or the middle class Sloan's. If you had the "e" on the end, you were middle class (so where's my money?). My family originated from the county of Down in Ireland, and I am VERY Irish proud! Here's my family's crest:

They owe you BIG time. You should at least get all AGD markers for free plus a cphillip signature marker with engraved family crest.

Aaarrrgghhh! I know I have a picture of mine somewhere (Dalman), but I can't find it. Every website I've tried doesn't have the correct one for my family. Most of them list the origin as English or German, but mine is Dutch, traced all the way back to northern Spain. It's pretty sweet, too... a large gold lion rampant (similar to one of the lions in cphillip's) on a red shield, surrounded by golden shells (scallops, I believe) and gold trim.

while cool and all, almost all the time you are going to run into bogus 'crests'

you really have to do your research to find an accurate one.

maglover52 did you ever get beat up?

My last name is Schauppner, anyone you meet with that name is in some way related to me. Years ago in Germany there was a mass murderer with the same name as my grandfather's grandfather. In order not to discrase his famly he changed it to an ancient royal famly name, that had no living ayre's, thus he and his wife and his kids were the only ones in the WORLD with the name Schauppner. Now years later there are only 11 regestered home-owners with the name. I personaly know 6 of them in America, and the rest are old people in Germany that are my grandfather's cousens.

                        pretty cool a

(I nkow I can't speell, so plese don't point et out.)
