I got a girlie friend that moved to Ill and works at a cracker barrel. She seems to like it and says she makes bank everynight. My whole family with me being hte exeption works in dinners around here and here's what I've learned.

All the workers screw eachother.... literally. It's a freaking soap opera at everyone they work at.

The pay sucks. $3.13 a hour, but they still all make between 200$ and 400$ a weekend ( 10 hours on friday and sat and 4-6 hours on sunday )

Weekdays are ALWAYS SLOW. you don't make anywhere close to what you make on weekends.

When it comes to food Americans are jerks. They cripe about EVERYTHING. Too much mustard, fries too cold, fries too hot. Service to slow... blah blah blah.

Which leads me to my next point. 2$ for tip is too much to budget for so they feel they have the right to stiff you. (stiff = no tips = you going out and bashing their window in)

And finally, since it's a restaurant anything goes. Customers will seat themselves even when there's a sign or a hostess telling them not too, then walk out becuase no one was serving them ( how are workers supposed to know they are sitting there if they didn't check in). Then when they have problems, what do they do? Go out and eat of course. So you have to deal with 50% grummpy people.

So for all of AO I recommend, BE NICE TO YOU'RE WAITER, they see the food before you do. And trust me, they will take advantage of your food if you make their job hard on them.

Other then that.... waiting is GREAT!
