Hmmm, there should be some way, but Im not sure how. When you delete stuff you dont really erase it from your hard drive. The laser that writes on your hard drive can only write, not erase. When you delete stuff it isnt really deleted, it is tagged to be written over by your computer.
Im not quite sure how to find it though.

if you have norton system works your trashcan should say norton protected recycle bin. double clikc on that and itll bring up the unerase wizard. select your share folder and recover, boom it should be back to normal

Its quite easy. When you tag something to be erased it is written with a 0 in it. All you have to do is go back and physically change everysingle 1 that was changed to a 0 back to a 1. Which means impossible unless you get the Norton Recover porgram. Just search Kaza i'm sure they have it on there.

Thats spin put on by Microsoft. When i was teaching CET(A+ Cert class) We were told to tell everyone that the Correct answer to accessing your Registry was to A. Not touch the registry except by a Microsoft Cert Professional. Which is total BS considering anyone with any common sense can mess around in the Registry and not ruin everything.

SNeakyhacker. It was bad enough to circumvent the filter in the title of your thread, but then you did it again in a following post.

3 day ban for you, for rules violation.

You don't need Norton. There are a load of FREE software that are available online. Go to www.download.com and do a search for undelete or file recovery. I used one on my old computer and it told the status of the deleted file.

Um ... hard drives are magnetic devices, not optical. They record data by polarizing the tracks on the disk. Since magnets only have two poles (north and south), the drive reads and writes data by interpretting polar segments as binary 0s or 1s. It works just like any other magnetic storage medium, only on a much faster and finer scale.

Anyhow, on Windows OSes look for either SpinRite or Tiramisu, both are excellent disk recovery tools, but make certain you get the appropriate FAT32/NTFS version for your system.
