well my best friend drives around with alot of cd's he doesnt have a book or nuthing, he just stacks em on a pole.

anyways, if its 40$ on ebay just buy it again, or this could been a sign that you NEED a new deck

Did you burn back-up copies of your CD's? Most people don't, and I don't understand why. It's about a $20 investment in CD-R's and some of your time, but if you leave the originals in your house and just carry burnt copies in your car, it won't be that much of a loss if/when you do get your CD's stolen.

I never even thought about that before... its a good idea, and I'll have to do it in the future...
